Can raw food detox diet help me lose weight or feel healthy? Why/not? I cant eat organic (raw) food all the time as it is very expensive.
I have studied nutrition and find that a raw food diet is not the best way to go, why are so may people doing? I have tons of friends who are on an all raw food diet to DETOX -whatever??? Why do people believe that this is better when there is scientific evidence that some foods are actually more nutritious when cooked? What about legumes, are they to be eaten raw too? How about potatoes? Someone please let me know.

Is post-putrefaction for real? In a quest to rid myself of symptoms (depression, chronic stomachaches, intense environmental allergies) I've been researching raw food diets for a while now, and I have started following Natalia Rose's raw food detox diet. I've followed her recommendation to get colonics as well, hoping to get rid of what ever putrefaction and post-putrefaction may be inside. Then my sister and my father who are physicians told me that before you get a colonoscopy, you drink a huge thing of water and your whole colon gets cleaned out, to the point where the doctor can see the walls of your colon. They also said that the entire wall of your colon sloughs (?) itself off on a daily basis. If these things are true, how can I reconcile that with the stuff I've been reading which says that everyone (who has been on a typical American diet) has post-putrefaction clinging to the walls of your colon that may take years or even the rest of your life to remove through raw foods and colonics, little by little?
Becoming a raw food vegan? About three months ago, I began transitioning to the raw food diet. At first, I was strictly raw... I just kinda threw myself in there, and managed to upold it for about a month. Since then, I've kinda fallen off the wagon, though. My biggest problem was being hungry all the time. At first, I was dealing just fine... It seems, though, that my body will plateau and fluctuate by 3 or 4 pounds (this is in general, not in the raw transition) and as soon as I start to dip below that, I feel insatiably hungry until I load up on food and go back up to my "regular" weight. I hit that plateau about two weeks after going raw, and managed to stay raw- although overindulging- for another few weeks before starting to re-suppliment my diet with cooked grains, ect. I have had problems in the past with eating disorders. When I hit these plateaus and become ravenous all the time, I get very depressed. When I can keep my food intake steady, I manage ok, but when I start pigging out and eating everything in sight, I tend to "crash" and eat more because of these problems with food that I've had in the past. The main reason that I started putting cooked food back into my diet was protein... I felt that a big reason that I was hungry all the time was because I was lacking it. (Has anyone heard about the Blood Type Diet? About a week ago I was doing some reading, and came across information on it... If the theories that it presents are correct, then as an O- protein should be a major part of my diet...) Does anyone have any suggestions for moving past this initial phase of detox and getting back in the raw swing? I started taking a greens suppliment, to make sure that I was getting enough. I know that nuts have a good amount of protein, but sometimes they make me sick. Are there any side-effects that I should expect from this detoxing phase, and anything that I can do to ease the transition?
Are there any online support groups or forums for people who wish to become raw foodists? I am transitioning over to the raw foods diet. Advice from others and from all the books I have read said that to sucessfully become a 100% raw foodist, it helps to have a support group of people who are going through the same thing, especially when your body goes through the "detox" stage. Does anyone know of an online support group that would be useful?

Raw Foods Diet? Has anyone ever been on this diet? I am considering it...I head its very good for detoxing. What do you think the benefits would be if I only ate "things from the groud" and nuts etc but cooked some still? Would the detoxing still work?
Raw Foods Question....? I am looking to really get more into raw foods. What foods would be great to put on my grocery list? I am looking to detox my body and I heard that a raw food diet is great in doing so. Thanks in advance for the advice....

Whats okay in a cleanse/detox diet? Birth control? Vitamin? Pot? am cutting out processed food, cow-dairy, salt, sugar, wheat, preservatives, etc. Im loading up on fish, fresh fruits and veggies, raw unsalted nuts and grains, water, fiber, garlic, cayanne, lemon, etc. I have been taking birth control pills and multivitimins daily for nearly 10 years. Im not having sex right now, so should I discontinue my use? What about smoking pot? Does this effect my bodys ability to cleanse itself? I am taking a full body cleanse kit (fiber, lax, and milk thistle).
What do you think of detox diets? Okay so I believe in cleaning out your body once in a while! Not by enema or anything but by drinking water, 100% juices, drinking tea, and eating raw foods like fruits and veggies! I have done this in the past for about two days, and ended up with strech marks everywhere! Anyhow, that is besides the point...I am just wondering if anyone else does detox once in a while.....and how!!? What do you do, use, eat......etc!!!
Recommended Pre fast/pure detox diet for a guy.? I'm a young guy and recently I've decided to undergo an extended fast in order to quit smoking, (3 years, pack a day) as well as to regain my old level of health. I was curious what my regular diet should be leading up to that, I'm not picky at all about what I eat (I had my fun over the holidays and willpower isn't an issue). Doesn't really matter how awful it tastes, I'm just looking at food as fuel for the time, I just need the absolute healthiest way to go about things for before and after the fast. I've heard raw vegetables and fruits are the way to go (although not sure which ones) and have just been eating those for the last few days, but feels like I'm missing quite a bit in my diet. Anyways, any recommendations would be great. I've heard pretty good things about that lemonade drink, but I was planning on a straight water fast. Also, I would prefer not to take any kits/vitamins/pills/etc. as for red meat, I've completely given up meat of all sorts. (I used to eat steak regularly, and love it, but was impressed with how I felt after abstaining from it for a while) This isn't for weight loss (I'm 6"2 and 200 pounds), although I'd expect it would be a nice side effect of a new diet. Moreso I want to increase my energy level, alertness, and clarity while getting back in shape. this is in preparation for me doing some traveling later this year, and needing to be in absolute top condition.

Help! I cheated SUPER bad on my diet last night!? Yikes! Four slices of pizza, a hamburger AND A MILKSHAKE? Hahah, it was DELICIOUS! However, I want to detox today (I ususally eat a raw, all natural diet)... what are the best foods I can eat and/or avoid today to clean myself out? I've had some blueberries and green tea and other fruits... any other suggestions? Thanks!
How can I make some of my own detox diets? (Plz answer!)? I really want to make one on my own cuz i never seem to have the necessary ingredients. Heres what I got: Maple Syrup Rosemary, Oregano, Cinnamon, Pepper, Cloves (ect.) Vanilla Almond Extract Pine Nuts Peanut Butter and I could possibly get a few things but im poor as hell. I have no money 4 that. I get what I have cuzza the food pantry. but justy please help me fast. Its important to me. I would consider fasting or taht fruit and raw veggies thing but i dont have much of those.
i am suffering from influenza...what i shoulf avoid of.. i read that i have not to drink milk.? check this i think that's not wright isn't it The 'flu' is caused primarily by the body's vulnerability to flu germs owing to extreme toxemia of the system, which results in excessive retention of toxic wastes, which impair immunity; flu strikes hardest in winter, because in winter the body excretes wastes more slowly and people eat less fresh, raw foods; toxic tissues, mostly in the respiratory apparatus, become breeding grounds for air-born pathological bacteria. Cleansing-detox is the very first step towards resolving this issue followed by a rejuvenation-diet. The below foods and juices are therapeutic and healing after your cleansing. Horseradish and lemon juice: same for asthma. Carrot, celery, parsley, spinach juice: this blend is super-rich in potassium, which quickly reduces acidity throughout the system, thereby commencing the detoxification process required for complete cure and recovery. help help ...should i drink soda soft drinks, milk soap. should i eat raw gralic ... *eggs ...can i eat.
