What are the dangers of yo yo dieting? I was on a proper diet for about 4 days and then on the 5th day i cracked and stuffed myself with sugary treats such as chocolates and biscuits. This happens every time i go on a diet so i need to know what effects it will cause on my body. The more i know about how bad it is the less likely i will let it happen again.
What are the dangers of taking diet pills while breastfeeding? I dont want to do anything to harm my 3 month old daughter in any way. So I would like to know the side effects it would have on her if I took diet pills if any of you know. Practically EVERY pill bottle has caution directed to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers (even Vitamin C!).
Are there Hidden Dangers in Drinking Diet Soda? I've heard it said on this site and on the news that you shouldn't drink any soda, regular or diet. But I don't know what is wrong with diet soda, especially caffeine free diet sodas. Is there anything that companies don't want you to know about drinking diet soda, or any problems it can cause?
What are the dangers of diet pills? I want to know what can go wrong with them, like the diet pill Farenheit, and after taking only one pill instead of two I get really energetic and jittery and a fast heart beat and all, but I want to know if that is a dangerous affect on the body, or it's just how it is and it's not really gonna kill me or anything.
The dangers of diet pills? I have a friend who is 13, and she is taking diet pills. She takes double the reccomended dose, and claims its OK because they are "all natural". I know diet pills are completely unhealthy, but what makes them dangerous? I lost three pounds this week and am 6 and a half pounds from my target weight, which I achieved in 2005. Its been a bit of a struggle at this point. It seems to get harder, the closer it gets. My incentive is, £4.50 per week which I have to pay my slimming club. Target members dont pay. My danger period is evenings, in which I tend to snack and nibble. diet coke dangers? will they make me gain weight? how do they even make me gain weight if they have calories, fat, carbs, and very low sodium. and if weight gain isnt the problem with diet coke or other sodas then what is? yeah, george my lifes not based on it. i just drank like two and i never drink them and then i kinda freaked myself out. haha

We have elements of society who grind and gnash their teeth over the welfare of others and spend their time on cocaine and heroin, pretending to care, but oft times saying that the solution to problems in society is to "kill" the enemies of our country and their acquaintances including innocent men, women, children and all. And we have elements of our society who are not sensitive to the dangers that lurk in their diets and the air that they breathe and the communication that they make, the silence, the use of the words like always, never, and everything and prideful expressions, pushing away any who would share their advice saying things like "I'm good.", "I'm all set.", when their diet or other habits appear to be killing them. Outside observers can sometimes penetrate these walls, but often not. Have you ever penetrated the walls of this kind of dysfunction and gotten positive results back? how can i lose weight on my thighs, stomach and hips? 16 year old female. i want to lose weight as fast as possible. but i want to do it in a healthy way because i know the dangers of "crash dieting". so anyone know good ways to lose weight (specifically in those areas)??. like a lot of people, im after fast results!
Dangers of a low/underweight BMI? I've been hearing a lot about BMI recently and there's a lot of information about obesity but none on being underweight. Apparantly a BMI of lower than 20 is underweight. My BMIs 16 so is there any danger in this? I've never dieted and in fact have tried to gain weight in the past but with no success. I eat a very healthy diet... 3 meals a day along with snacks, at least 5 fruit+veg a day, 3 portions of wholegrains a day, nuts, tofu etc. I don't eat healthy to keep my weight down... I just dont want to put many processed foods in my body. I used to eat very unhealthy fatty foods but my weight was the same then as it is now. Admittedly I don't exercise much but other than that I'm generally very healthy. So why do the experts say my BMI is unhealthy? Thanks for your answer sam but I can assure you that it's not easy putting on weight when you're genetically very skinny. I'm 22 now and throughout my teens I tried to gain weight... I went to a dietician and was eating so much food at one point that I actually felt ill most of the time (and no I'm not bulimic!). For years I just couldnt put on weight even though I really wanted to (it's not only obese kids that get teased about their weight). All that eating wasn't making me put on weight and I was feeling miserable and full all of the time so I gave up. I can assure you I eat a very healthy amount now and am not a fussy eater. I just dont understand why people say it's unhealthy to have such a low BMI when I'm generally very healthy and eat as much as anyone else. I can't understand how I can be 'malnourished' when I eat a normal amount of food.
How can I fit into jeans by Friday? Firstly to anyone who wants to warn me about the dangers of fad diets - thanks for concern but i do know all the dangers and i wouldn't use one long term so please don't warn me! i will listen to my body and stop if i need to. so my question is that i want to lose a few pounds by friday. i know i can't lose that in fat by friday but i can lose water and bloating and maybe tone up just about enough to squeeze into jeans. what i need to know is if any of you have managed this? And how? what food or drinks did you eat to aid de-bloating and losing superficial weight (i just made that term up hope it makes sense!). any tips much appreciated. i'm willing to do anything that will combine to have some sort of effect however small. just to boost confidence for a stupid party thanks hard_n_te i didn't need to think about it 3 months ago because i am not fat i just need to lose about half a stone and i know for a fact it is possible to make at least a small difference in a couple days however temporary. by admitting it's temporary and that i can't lose weight properly in two days, surely that is me accepting my size
I need to loose alot of weight in a short period of time: Any crash-course suggestions? Ok, I'm 5'7'' and I weigh almost 140 pounds. I'd like to weigh a little of a hundred pounds, if that's possible. Yes, you read the title correctly. I've tried those 'suggested' and 'healthy' diets and i got NO results. In fact, I looked even worse after I went to them. So yes, I do want crash course diet suggestions. I've been on crash course diets before. I stopped eating and when i did eat it was nothing but caffines and small salads or a half of a sandwhich. I went from 160 to 130. AWESOME! That was in a month. But then I did the typical yo-yo thing and suddenly when I started eating again, I binge ate and my weight shot back up. I want some extreme dieting suggestions that maybe don't result in binge eating or the yo-yo effect. I KNOW THE DANGERS OF CRASH DIETS!!! I understand that they can lead to malnutrition and death. Quite honestly, whatever. I don't mind! If things get bad, I'll stop the diet. Do not come here telling me how stupid I am. Idgaf!
Dieting help please? Hi, I'm 16 years old and am not overweight, but i still want to be skinnier. I have an hour of fitness class Mondays through Fridays, so I do exercise; but I really want to figure out a way to diet or any way to lose some weight - and keep it off. My big problem is that my mom is against diets completely, every time she so much as suspects that I'm dieting I get this long speech from her (which I'm sure I've already memorized). So you can see my problem; how do I lose weight but not get suspected of dieting? And yes, I'm looking for a good amount of weight loss, so don't lecture me about the dangers please. Thank you!
Liposuction dangers? One of my friends has been dieting and exercising for the last year. She looks great! Lost about 50 pounds (the right way) but is still unhappy with her thighs and wants to get liposuction. I think she looks awesome and doesn't need it. And I also remember hearing about some dangers involved, such as blood clots. I want to be encouraging for but I'm concerned about the possible dangers. Has anyone had this procedure and if so, what was your experience? Am I justified being concerned or over reacting? I'm not looking to have this procedure. I just want to know if there are dangers/risks involved. Was my question that unclear?
Dangers of phenylalanine? I have found a great deal of info on the web about the dangers of aspartame, which contains 50% phenylalanine. But what about all the products that are just using phenylalanine as a substitute for sugar? What are the dangers of phenylalanine, on its own, not as a part of aspartame? Should we cut it out of our diets completely?
Diet pills...? My roomate (who was never fat to begin with, just little thick) has been taking 'Farenheight' for about a year now and has lost a lot of weight, she now has the perfect body. What are the dangers of diet pills? I've heard that they're help you lose weight, but after you stop taking them, your metabolism is screwed up forever and you'll begin gaining more weight than you were gaining before you started the pills.
