I want to lose weight, but I also like to drink at least 12 beers once a week. Can I still lose weight? I am a college student, I am looking to lose about 20-25 pounds. I work out daily about 60-90 min. I also like to drink though. I usually like drink 10-12 beers once a week (usually Friday or Saturday). Can I still lose the weight I want while drinking like this once a week? Thanks.

Why is my 10 year old cat starting to lose weight? My 10 year old moggy is starting to lose weight and I dont know why. I have taken her to the vets and she has had blood tests done , all normal, she has been wormed, and eats constantly. However she is still slowly losing weight and I dont know why. To begin with we thought it was hyperthyroidism, which is quite common in older felines, but her blood tests were normal. She eats 2 small pouches of whiskas a day, plus small handful of cruchy biscuits on top. She drinks normally, likes the odd bowl of milk and even eats out of the dogs dinner bowl when the dog isnt looking!! I am at a loss, in every other way she is quite normal, and healthy. Her coat is fine, and the is quite perky and playful. The only other thing she has wrong with her, which she has had for a few yeas, is small purple type tumours in her ears, which irritate her and cause her to scratch and shake her head alot. The vet says this is ok and theres nothing they can do about them?? Anyone got any ideas?/ thanks
Why did I continue to lose weight, without working out for 2 weeks? Actually, I didnt work out for exactly 15 days, after exercising at least 5 days a week before that. I lost about 4 lbs over the course of that time without exercising at all. (I've lost 26 since January, and I plan to continue). I pretty much had very light to no physical activity during this time. My calorie intake may have actually increased (with unhealty foods), so how is it that I still dropped those pounds? Is that my metabolism may have changed? For the record, I'm not speaking of water weight, which I know will vary, and I'm sure there was a definate weight loss. If you're wondering, there was no reason I stopped over those 2 weeks, just lost motivation temporarily, but I started back today. I'm not complaining, but why did I lose with no workouts?

Why is it that you have to engage in specific practices in order to LOSE weight, yet you do not have to do so? for example, you don't have to do anything in particular to gain weight, i.e. eating any specific foods. All you might ultimately have to do is just like eat normally and excercise/live your life normally, and in doing so you could gain weight. But even if you did not gain weight you would not lose weight, either unless you altered what you ate/how you excercised. In essence, you were not even trying to gain weight, and yet you did anyway, without even trying. When it comes to LOSING weight, however, you actually have to do certain things, i.e. eating certain foods which are almost always impossible to come by and expensive, and excercising regularily to even lose any weight at all. And in order to maintain your weight loss you have to continue to eat the expensive foods and excercise like that, like you can't just eat normal inexpensive foods and live your life normally or else you will gain the weight back and/or you will not lose any more. So why is it that you have to engage in specific practices in order to LOSE weight (eating specific foods, engaging in specific excercize, e.t.c.) yet you do NOT have to do anything in particular (i.e. you could just be eating what you normally eat/doing what you normally do) to gain and/or maintain your weight?

why cant i lose weight??!!? This summer I am eating more healthy than I ever have before. I drink one water bottle every day for my summer goal and i used to go MONTHS without drinking water. Why do people wait until one month before summer to lose weight? Really, I am sick of seeing the 'How can I lose weight FAST for summer!?!?!?' Really, you knew you needed to lose weight long before summer so now you want to be unhealthy and lose weight fast when you could have started January 1st or better yet YEARS ago and done it the right way? Why do you think people do things like that? It just mind boggles me because it stresses you out even more to give yourself one month to lose 20 pounds, that is unrealistic and healthy. Why did I lose weight? During the school year we had a huge project due so I ate dinner really fast to get to work. I ate just a little and when I went to bed I was usually hungry but I wasn't trying to diet or aanything. The next day I ate breakfast lunch and a snack. I did that for about two weeks and when I weighed myself I dropped six pounds without even trying. Why did i lose weight this year? It's at the end of my first year of college and i lost weight. And i can't figure out why. ate more fast food than ever, went out to eat more than ever, drank more than ever, i ate more fried food than ever. I just can't figure out how i would lose weight doing all this the only thing i can think of is I play soccer so i was working out a lot...but i didn't think enough to lose all this amout of weight. Why can I not seem to lose any weight? I have tried numerous diets and exercise. However, whenever I try to eat healthily I seem to put on weight and not lose it. (I recently tried the cereal diet of two bowls for two weeks and tended to have grilled chicken with vegetables/ salad/ brown rice etc. for dinner. While doing this I exercised alot more than usual and had three apples as "snacks" each day. - That was all...) At the end of two weeks I weighed myself and found that I had actually put on 7pounds... :s Since then, I have resumed my normal eating habits of nothing until lunch when I eat a sandwich, a packet of crisps and a piece of fruit and a dinner which tends to be something quick and easy to cook... snacks consist of more crisps, sweets and chocolate bars. Two weeks on from ending the "cereal diet" I have lost the 7lbs I gained... I'm really really confused - why am I able to lose weight eating unhealthily and manage to put on weight when I restrict my calorie intake???? Any advice?? In addition: Im definately not UNDER weight... Forgot to add that Ive tried slim fast for the past couple of weeks and still nothing! Its v frustrating..... Im considering doing a detox for a few days and eating just fruit and vegetables to see if that helps..... I know weight is not important compared to other things in life - its just getting me down a bit at the mo.
why cant i lose weight? i exerisce 2-3 hours a day 1 hour high impact aerobics 30 mins cardio and 30 min abs some time 60 min abs and i still cant manage to lose the wieght i can see some differnce in my upper abs but beside that i look the same and i only intake 1000-1500 calories a day ( im a veg. i dont eat much meat and i eat peanut butter every morning for protein) so if anyone know why im not losing the weight... id be happy to know
