help lose weight and get toned? okay, first of all; i'm not trying to lose weight by any means. but "weight loss" is more commonly searched then "help me get in shape" and i needed answers :] i'm 13, 5'5, and 108. so i think im healthy (am i or no?) but i have really bad eating habits and i gained 20 pounds within 10 months. i went from 5'4 and 88 pounds to what i am now. so. i want to know what some good foods are to eat and when to eat them (breakfast lunch dinner snack). also, what exercises can i do like running and crunch's? soccer and lacrosse season are coming and i want to be in shape. thank you for all of your help :]
What is the best and quickest weight loss excercise video? I am looking for a jump start weight loss video. Any suggestions. I do not want something that is super fast to the point where I will not be able to do it. I am fairly new at excercising and would not like to over do it or else I will not stick to it. Also I am brisk walking 2 miles 5-6 days a week but I would really like to lose belly fat I just don't know which exercise video is the best. Please help. I am 5'1" and weight 185 lbs. Is this diet healthy and good for weight loss? Hello, I want to keep fit and lose weight. I'm still at school, so basically what I do is sit on my bum in class all day, but I do exercise for about 4 - 5 hours a week (and more when I have time). I want to know whether this diet would help me lose weight or not. Breakfast: Banana, orange, low fat yogurt. Sometimes I have cereal. Lunch: School food (usually rice/pasta, meat, vegetables, a piece of cake - the meat and rice have a lot of oil added, so they are really fatty...) and a cup of milk. Dinner: An apple and yogurt. Sometimes with cashew nuts. Please tell whether this is a good diet or not, and if not what changes I should make. Thanks in advance! P.S. Is there a simple vegetarian weight loss diet that would be easy to follow in a college environment? I'll be going to college soon and I am overweight. While most people gain weight when they go to college, I'm nearly ashamed of eating in public so I'm hoping it will be a great opportunity to lose weight. I will probably make breakfast in the morning but my other 2 meals will be from dining halls. Eating 1200 calories a day: Breakfast-1 cup of regular cheerios with 1/2 cup of nonfat milk with 3 sliced strawberries and 2 cups of water to drink Lunch-Tuna sandwich with romaine lettuce, a tablespoon of mustard, and a slice of tomato on whole wheat/whole grain pita bread with 2 cups of water Dinner-4 oz of chicken with broccoli, carrots, and green beans with 2 cups of water Snack 1-A banana with 2 cups of water Snack 2-An apple with 2 cups of water And jogging for 30 minutes 5 days a week and dancing 30 minutes 2 days a week, with 1 day or 2 of pilates for 30 minutes. I am a very organized person, so I made myself a schedule of how my summer days will be like for the rest of the summer: Wake up Exercise machine –250 calories Breakfast (20 grapes, 1 apple) +150 calories Snack (2 cup lettuce + dressing) +50 calories Exercise machine –150 Early Dinner (whatever my mom makes) - +300-400 calories Exercise machine –300 calories Late Snack (fruit or vegetable of my choice) +50-100 calories Exercise –200 Total: intake: 600 burned:900 LOSS OF 300 CALORIES This I beleive will help me lose weight fast. I know what all of you are thinking, 600 calories is not enough for me, but I usually do not eat that much! To me 1000 calories is a lot without eating fast food . That is not all what I'll be doing in a day, I will also be like watching tv and reading and stuff like that. I will eat meats during dinner. Maybe sometimes breakfast. In the morning for breakfast - 1 shredded wheat with warm water - A cup of tea with 2 sugars with semi skimmed milk at half 11ish i will have 2 jacob cream crackers on there own for dinner time ( 12.30pm) i will have 1 chappati excluding oil or butter with a simple light lental curry with minium amount of oil then at 4ishpm i wll have 1 cup of tea with 2 sugers and 1 shredded wheat with water. at 8 for supper i will have 1 chappati with again a light lental curry or vegteable curry. Please note all my currys contain least amount of oil ( which is sun flower oil) in between i will have six glasses of water during the day. Thanks cant wait for response! Will this work for temporary, but quick, weight loss? If I have a 16 oz protein shake for breakfast, a 16 oz protein shake for lunch, and a 16 oz protein shake for dinner with a Caesar Salad, will I lose weight? I am not planning on using this long-term. Rather, I am going to try and use it as the detox part of my long-term lifestyle change. The shakes would be homemade. Weight Loss Training and Diet good enough? Hello, a while back I posted a question about how to lose weight, I am slowly losing but surely. I just wanted to check with any health nuts or guru's on how my training and diet are. Training Jog: Not very long but I keep a fast pace. Weight Training: Home Gym: I lift 4 weights that are pretty heavy, I do 2 sets of 20, then work on my calfs and legs with the leg attachment. I do 1 set of 10 lifts on my legs. Then I do 20 sit ups for 3 times and 5 pushups 2 times Diet: Breakfast: Usually some rye toast with cheese on it and a banana or apple with some water or juice. Lunch: Usually a banana, some fruit snacks, a sandwhich and a granola bar. Supper: *Usually I slip up after I come home from school by chowing down on Dorito's I came home today and ate 3 chips before deciding to change and I went out for a jog. But for supper, usually all the foodgroups. Yay or nay? Help me make changes so I can lose weight and eventually work on my abdomin and reach that six pack!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you add to my new weight loss / beauty regimen? I started out at 257 pounds (5"7") on 04/28. I'm now 248 on 05/08. I have been walking on my treadmill 3-4 times a day for 25-30 minutes at different speeds. Sometimes between 2.3-2.9 mph, sometimes just a straight 2.6 mph. Sometimes I swing my 3 pound weights as I stride, other times I just carry 8 or 10 pound weights at my side as I walk on the treadmill. I am having a vanilla Carnation Instant Breakfast in the morning and a meat & veggie Lean Cuisine (no pasta) for lunch. Then a sensible dinner. If we have spaghetti I don't have the garlic bread, if we have tacos I don't put sour cream on it etc.. To help keep my skin from looking like a shar-pei I have been using a Mary Kay granulated buffing cream & netted sponge every time in the shower and then I follow with a Mary Kay anti-aging firming body cream. I tried to find shea butter at Target but the ingredients start out with water and other stuff.... What else can I do to help me lose weight, build muscle and make my butt NOT FLAT?! I have also increased my water consumption tremendously, quite my flavored coffee and started drinking Green Tea. I am using the full line Mary Kay skin care on my face, including the Microdermabrasion so I think my face will be okay :)

Also when I say excersize dance, I mean DDR (dance dance revolution) That also counts the calories I lose, except it isn't always right. So I believe that 500 calorie loss on that machine is pretty much a 200 calorie loss.
Achieving a weight loss goal? My bestfriend is 15 years old weighing 175lbs. Her goal for going back to school this year is to lose 20lbs and not to be ashamed in a swimming suit. Her diet consists of eating scrambled eggs with bacon for breakfast, skipping lunch, and eating a regular supper. I try to tell her that this isn't safe. She hates excersizing and I told her if she found the right program I would gladly help her. Any suggestions on a good excersize program and a weight loss program, or atleast a safe way to do it?
Help losing weight? okay so I'm a 15, 5'0", 120lbs female trying to lose about ten pounds. Normally for breakfast I have rasin bran with soy milk and a pb&j sandwich and yogurt for lunch. Dinner is whatever the family has, but I usually pass on the meat. I'm starting to go to the local rec center and go on the eliptical for 20 minutes and at home swim in the pool and tread water for about a half an hour. weight loss help me out guys? if i eat this cereal called FIBER ONE. for breakfast and lunch then a healthy dinner with a few snacks. do you think ill lose weight? fiber one for one cup of it is 120 calories and 28 grams of fiber. and the milk i drink is around 80 cal. but i drink about 1/4 of it. and i will eat about a 400 cal dinner and 200 cal snacks throught the day along with fruits/veggies. i excercise also 60 min running 17 min mile 6 times a week. i weigh 143 and im 5'2. how much weight do you think ill lose in the next 3 weeks? thanks so much.

Before at work, my old diet ..I would have doughnuts or fast food sandwiches n hashbrowns for breakfast quite often... lots of carbs at lunch (breads, potatos) ...seconds of these for snacks.. usually 2 helpings of dessert. Lunches: steamed veggies and 6-8 little chunks of baked chicken breast OR a Healthy Choice or Smart Ones frozen meal thats 300 cal. or less Snacks: Fruit mixed with 1 cup plain yogart and topped with grapenuts OR Soy Nuts and a cheese stick. Dinner will be what I want within reason and moderation.. making sure to cut out a lot of cheeses, sourcreams, and butters.. Should this alone cause weight loss?? And i am trying to lose baby weight, i really to be honest havent been working on it much since she was born but i really want to think out my tummy and hips which are my only problem areas. i weigh 170 am about 5 4 1/2 - 5 5 . what excersises are good for losing weight in h ips and tummy? my plan is to do a hour of dancing while my daughter naps, i have carmen electra strip to lose weight dvd, tae bo, im getting ymca membership and going to walk 1 1/2 every day except mondays. I been snacking on ten calorie jello with no fat, breakfast is rice cake adn banana, lunch turkey with no bread or healthy choice campbells soup, then for dinner whatever i fix for my family only in small portions and ive been drinking about 5 bottles of water a day. and one or two cans of diet pop somedays none at all. when i will i start seeing results also any tips from anyone on other things i could do ? im desperate.

Easy weight loss without pills or diet foods like south beach or weightwatchers?? Im turning 12 years old on August 8th. I am 5 foot 1. I went to the doctor and weighed 105 lbs in Early May and later every day at school id skip breakfast and lunch and eat a sandwhich as a snack after school and then dinner. but now the scale says 115 =[ starving obviously does NOT work. but eating the right about of food each meal does help. i cant always count all the calories everyday. but i run on a treadmill for 30 min. once ina while (maybe 5 times a month lately) but im starting to run for an hour each morning on the treadmill (past two days), take a shower, and eat a late breakfast. then i eat dinner and sometimes have a snack b4 that. i cant buy weight loss foods or pills. unless i can use some household pill to help. my mom doesnt know i want to lose weight but she did overhear me on the phoen saying to my friend i think im fat. im a size xs in hollister, and a size 0 in pants. anyway i weigh 115 pounds and i want to lose weight. help me?
Is this considered harmful rapid weight loss? To help treat a liver condition that I have, I was told to lose weight. Through eating mostly vegetables, fiber, fruits, chicken, fish and avoiding potato chips, junk foods, beef/pork I have lost 15 lbs in over 6-7 weeks. I certainly don't starve, I eat an adequate good breakfast and decent lunch and dinner. I do moderate cardio 5-6 times a week for 40 minutes. I know rapid weight loss can worsen your liver if u have problems with it but is this considered rapid weight loss? Is there a point where I have to cut back on the cardio and eat a little bit more to keep my weight from losing? I would also appreciate what would be considered harmful rapid weight loss. Thanks!
I need help - is this correct for a weight loss plan? ok i'm trying to lose weight to join the military and I just want to know if what i'm doing is ok... i'm 5'8 and 180lbs and need to be around 165lbs my diet consists of fruit, veg, rice, meat (chicken and turkey) and potatos, crackers... and I've worked out that i'm eating about 1200 calories a day... I am eating breakfast, snack, lunch snack and having dinner at about 5pm... going to the gym at 6:30 pm and burning about 500 cals coming home showering and turning in for the night... only having water the rest of the night... is this ok for an effective weight loss plan? I need to lose this weight reasonable quick however it needs to stay off and also be safe. is what i'm doing ok already or is there anything I should change? appreciate any help or ideas

Weight Loss? Hi im 19yrs old, 5'3 and 58kg. Im wanting to lose some weight, about 8kg or so. Quickly if possible, but was hoping for 1-2kg loss per week. Ive started going to the gym 5 times a week where i do cardio on the treadmill or eppilator (whatever its called thing) for 25 mins then do high repititions of low weights for 20 mins. Im trying to eat under 500 calories a day, ive been having a low fat yoghurt for breakfast, a garden salad for lunch , an apple as a snack, and tuna salad for dinner. Diet soft drink, green tea and 8 glasses of water in between. Ive been doing this for 4 days and i havent lost ANY weight even though my diet has had at least 1500 calories cut out of it, and im working out every day!!! Hi all! for the past 3 weeks now iv been goin gym 5 times a week, 45 mins a time, running or stepper machine... and about 3 times a week spinning (aerocycle) which is very hard intensity 45 min cycling workout! not to mention just walking dogs etc.... on a normal day i eat breakfast which is usually cereal or toast......but has been cereal for past 3 weeks....lunch has been something low carb, chicken etc and dinner varies, but is healthy and protein/carb balance.... i lost 5kgs so far.....in first week and half....now im stuk on 70kgs and its driving me nuts b/c im eatin less and im exercisig so much! :( any help appreciatd

Is this is a good weight loss plan for a teenager? I'm 15 years old, 5'5, 121 pounds or 8.8st and I wear a size 8-10. I know my BMI is well within normal range but BMI isn't a reliable indicator of how normal your weight is when you are still growing. I'm quite chubby and the fat isn't spread evenly (I would like to sort out my legs, thighs, stomach and arms). I will be in a bikini for most of summer so I need a good body in about 2 months. Am prepared to put dedication to losing weight and toning up, I want to lose about 10 pounds. I have made a weight loss plan for myself so can people tell me if this is okay and suggest exercises to help tone the areas mentioned above? Plan: Breakfast (6.45am)-glass of tropicana smooth orange juice, a banana Snack(11am)-an apple Lunch(12.40pm)-slice of ham, potato salad, iceberg salad(no dressing or croutons), glass of water and an apple. Snack(5.30pm)-a banana, cup of green tea Supper(6.30pm)-something hot and healthy(nothing too sugary or fatty), glass of water and an apple. I walk briskly for about 40 minutes total each day. I do sport for an hour two times a week, and on days I don't have sport I plan to jog for 30 minutes after dinner or before. I walk dogs for an hour one day each weekend. Should I jog the other day too? I also plan to abide by these rules: Only green tea No white bread No chocolate No fizzy drinks (soda in america) No junk food No cakes, muffins etc. I do need to lose weight, I am very chubby. I don't think the weight statistic is a realiable indication of how the fat looks on me. Also as a toning stomach exercise I'm moving my legs up and down at a 50 degree angle 50 times three times a day.
Will I lose weight if I do this....? I've come up with my own weight loss plan... This is over 3 1/2 month period of time... Calories per day: no more than 1500. Cardio exercise everday except Sunday (45min.-1 hr.) : Cardio (i.e., Taebo). Breakfast: oatmeal (can use magarine, & salt), muffins, bagels (no coffee), tea, anytype of fruits. Lunch: Granola bar, baked chicken, rice, vegetables. Dinner: Spahgetti and meatballs... (no soda only water to drink with it). The above was an example meal plan. During the last 2 weeks, I'll go on the master cleanse. (Also, soda and coffee will be forbidden, only water) Do you think I'll lose 25 pounds or more? Do you have any suggestions... please help!!

help losing weight? okay so I'm a 15, 5'0", 120lbs female trying to lose about ten pounds. Normally for breakfast I have rasin bran with soy milk and a pb&j sandwich and yogurt for lunch. Dinner is whatever the family has, but I usually pass on the meat. I'm starting to go to the local rec center and go on the eliptical for 20 minutes and at home swim in the pool and tread water for about a half an hour. I'm thinking of jogging in the evenings about 2 miles. Can somone give me some help to speed up my weight loss? thanks =]
Can someone help with a meal plan for weight loss please? I weight about 206 and am 5'10. I do cardio everyday(jump rope, jogging, walking, boxing) for about 30-60 minutes a day. I also lift weights 3x a week. my diet consists of 3-4 egg whites with 2 whole wheat breads with a glass of OJ and a glass of nonfat milk for breakfast chicken breast sandwich with lettuce and carrots with a side of fruit. and a protein meal replacement for dinner(postworkout) and i drink about a gallon of water a day. i hear that this is not enough calories to lose weight properly. any help is good.

Weight loss help...? I'm 19 years old and I'm 5'3" and I currently weigh 158lbs. I've been dieting and exercising for about a month and I've only loss 5 lbs (was 163)! And I haven't loss any inches. I would like to know how I can lose more weight quicker. I would like to get down to my dancing weight of 120 lbs. I haven't consumed no more than 1200 calories on any given day. I usually eat 1 cup of raisin bran with 1 cup of 1% milk for breakfast. For lunch I either eat a 6 inch veggie sub from subway, a bowl of fruit, a salad with low cal light dressing, or low cal soup. For a snack I either have a piece of fruit, a rice cake, or a slice of whole wheat bread. For dinner I usually have either have a lean cuisine, half a chicken breast or half a steak with steamed vegtables, or a low cal soup with a slice of whole wheat bread. I exercise about 5 days a week. I mainly go to class at the local YMCA. I go to spin classes and aerobic classes twice a week. Then I got to a weight lifting classes once a week.
Weight loss help? My crush is coming down in 6 days and he's staying for two weeks. He's my best friends cousin and my best friend lives next door and I'm at her house a lot so I want to look good. I was always kind of built and solid, but I packed a little extra weight on. I weigh 215 and im 5'11 Male. Weight Loss Question? I want to lose some weight and so I have been eating "Kashi cereal" for breakfast which is low in calories and sodium and when I get hungry, I eat a jello that is only 10 calories, and I also use my gazelle machine for like 200 calories burned and also walk on my treadmill for about 100 calories to burn so that I burn more calories than I eat. MY question is that I do not like fruits AT ALL. I hate fruits, and so how can I lose weight if this is what gets in the way for me? Ok weight loss kinda help? I am not going to say my age but i am kind of young. i am bigger and i decided that it would be best if i tried to lose some weight. I have started to do 50 crunches in the morning and 50 at night(even though they hurt realllllly bad after a while) i would do push ups but i honestly cant. Then this Is my old eating habbits: For breakfast: a poptart or sugary cereal For lunch: (at school) i would not eat the vegies and sometimes eat the fruit and eat what others didnt want.(at home) a sandwhich and a small bag of chips For Dinner: i would have kinda alot and liked the fried things Inbetween snacks: i would have alot in a day after school like 3 and they normally wernt small and after dinner at night i would have like ice cream Now i eat: Breakfast: a small bagel plain and low fat butter Lunch: i have salads at school and instead of fries i eat vegies and fruits dinner: only have one helping snacks: one very small snack usually jello or yogurt am i doing this right? help any other excercises? or dieting tips? and i also either drink diet pop or water oh and i dont eat dressing on my salads

Difficult weight loss...need help!? Ok, I need to lose weight. I weigh 230 and am 5'5" tall. The problem is that I work 3pm to 11pm, alot, and go to college classes 4 times a week in the mornings so I have a really screwed up schedule. weight loss confusuion? I have been on a diet since new year, i decided on 1500 calories a day with 30 min walk.......i was forcing myself to eat breakfast as i know this is suppose to start up you metabolism in the morning, but the last 5 days ive slipped into old habits, and i tend to have nothing to eat until about 3pm (im not doing this deliberately, its that i do not feel hungry before that, i also dont get up until 10am as i work late).....but even though i dont start eating until 3pm, im still making sure i get my 1500 calories a day.....and since falling back into this habit ive lost 5 lbs in 5 days? yet i was under the impression that having breakfast helps with weightloss? yet whilst i was making an effort to eat earlier, i wasnt shifting any weight..... i was wondering if anyone has an explanation and remember, i havent dropped my calorie intake or done anything different other than not eat until later in the day.....thanks
weight loss? im 5'3", about 119 pounds. i dont have much time to work out, but i run saturdays (2 miles) and sundays (1.3 miles maybe) and during the week if school isn't bad i work out on the elliptical for 40 minutes doing about 5 miles. im really bad about diet tho, i eat regular cereal for breakfast, and at lunch i usually eat a piece of fruit or two, a sandwhich, and either a fat-free pudding or 2 cookies. my mother cooks healthy lean dinners and IF i have dessert its usually a few cookies or some lowcal ice cream. i am still overweight tho. i would like to lose 10lbs ASAP, and really need to know how. time is a big issue im either at school or en route to or from school 10 hours a day.
