How can I help my dad who has mental health problems? My parents have been married for years but have always had problems together. They just were completley different people I guess and got married very young. For the most part though they always seemed very happy and content with their lives. I think that my dad might have some serious mental health problems. I haven't talked to him about it yet but even if I do he probably won't listen to me.I think he may be Bipolar. The reason is because he has a lot of the symptoms and it ran in his mother's side of the family.I know some of his aunts and uncles had it as well. And since it is a genetic thing I think he needs to get some help.He used to be a very funny guy, always made me laugh and smile. Now,I just want him to move it and leave everyone alone sometimes. He acts depressed one minute and can become the happiest person alive the next. Not to mention the fact that he was always great at this job and always worked hard(at least that is what I thought) well his boss didn't give him a very good review at work.He doesn't do much either.(I mean I know some guys are like this but this is quite different) he watchs tv,rents a movie everyday, walks his dog, and thats really about it besides work I'd say. He's lucky my mom hasn't left him already. What can I do about helping him out and finding someone to possibly dignose him? It's quite obvious that he has some major problems,it's completley abnormal and he has so many symptoms and is only 43 years old. My e-mail is drangela911@yahoo.com
What might be causing these health problems? Symptoms: upper abdominal pain (right side), stomach pain & no appetite , constipation, chest pain (both sides and center - "heat pain"), back, neck, and shoulder pain, throbbing headaches, "tingly" numb sensations, bad breath, and the feeling that your throat is constricted, muscle aches and joint pain, teeth grinding, drooling while sleeping, and excessive weakness? A parasite? What kind? A bacterial infection? A disease of some sort? My doctor thought it was stress, but did some tests for my piece of mind & found a cyst approximately 9 mm in diameter in my brain. But then he dismissed it as "congenial" and said he didn't think it necessary to address at this time. Meanwhile, my mother is getting very upset because I keep getting worse and she says I "smell sick." I asked the doctor if I might have contracted a parasite, as suggested by the vet since my dog was EXTREMELY ill, and he said no b/c I haven't traveled outside the states. Any suggestions??? I am in a LOT of pain! I have called a psychologist, and while I should probably be seeing one for anger and stress issues, they were also concerned about the cyst the MRI found. Otherwise, yes, I am addressing "mental" issues as well. It has been basically determined, however, that the physical ailments have little to do with the emotional aspect of it all (minus causing stress over my poor health).
My dog has what I think is candida (spelled right?) What can I do about this? Shes terribly itchy all the time, she has skin and fur discoloration, and she smells like a dead fish when she gets hot. She burps a lot too, though that might be cause shes a dog... She has no health problems, no stress in her life, and for the last three months I have been feeding her "wolf king" grain free food (she dosent like the grain free foods much, and wolf king smells like oregano or something, I dont reccomend it -and neither does she!) She has no fleas, and any allergens that might have been around have been taken care of - unless she's alergic to people I guess. None of this has helped. The stupid Vet has been giving her prednisone and antibiotics since she was a puppy. I almost punched him in the eye when I found out about this, because shes not sick, nor has she ever been! He said it was "good preventative maintenace" I assume that she has candida, since she has all the symptoms and has been on steroids and antibiotics for two years. What do I do? OK, more info here... I feed her yougurt, 2 tbsp of plain every day. Wolf king was recommended for her problems. the three main ingredients are elk, venison, and sweet potatoes. it has 6 types of yougurt cultures and trace minerals and lots of veggies in it as well. (still smells like herbs though...) I bathe her every other day or so with sulfodene (vet recommendation) As far as the vet goes, he's history. Ill never take her back to him. Funny thing though, I took her to a different vet friday and he wanted to give her antibiotics and prednisone. (I think most vets are like most doctors - they give you whatever the drug companies tell them to give you, regardless of the symptoms.)
What, if any, health issues do Bengal cats have as a breed? Many purebred dogs and cats have particular problems that are common for that breed. Do Bengal cats have any common health issues? What are they, and what symptoms should I look out for? The exotic breed of domestic cats, not the tigers, and not the football team.

Older Dog with Very Dry, Flaky nose? I have an unneutered german shepherd who is about 10 years old. He's been in great shape up until this and does not look or act like an old dog at all. He has started to get an extremely dry nose. It's so bad that parts of his nose start to flake off. He is not dehydrated as they always have fresh water. My other dog is not showing any symptoms. Last month he also got a sore on his hindquarters. I am not sure if it started out as a sore or as very dry, cracked skin though. In any case, he bit it until it was an oozing sore, and that's when I noticed it. His fur is long enough for it to stay hidden before that. I squeezed vitamin e oil onto it for 3 days, and it cleared up. All his fur grew back pretty quickly. I don't know if these things are related, but they are both recent, and he did not have any health problems before. I haven't tried anything to soothe the nose yet, but a moisturising oil and vitamin e would be my first guess. Could this be a serious condition? My dog is very ill and we are at a point of loss to why.? 3 days ago my Maltese cross fell ill and we took her to the vet. She is 7 years old and had always been a very healthy dog. Her symptoms are as follows: 1. Very week 2. Not eating 3. Heart rate of 42 4. Oxygenation level of 89 5. Not parsing any poo 6. Vomiting a yellow mucus She has been at the veterinarian clinic for three days on a drip to keep her hydrated and in some form of health. A blood test indicated there is no organ failure, an xray and ultra sound to check for a blockage in her intestine which has shown a clear passage. She has had another blood test today which will either eliminate or confirm thyroid problems. We love Peigi as part of the family and I would be very appreciative if anyone has any ideas on what this could be. She is running out of time. Thanks.
Has anyone ever tried vi-pro plus on a dog with distemper if so what was result? Vi-Pro Plus Natural and Effective Help for Canine Distemper and Viral Infections Use Vi-Pro Plus for Pets: As an oral homeopathic vaccine to immunize your dog against Canine Distemper and other viral infections To protect against Distemper infection during a known outbreak To treat active Canine Distemper under veterinarian supervision See Below To Purchase This Product Treatment | Testimonials | Ingredients | Dosage | Ask Us | FAQ's What is Canine Distemper and what are the symptoms? Canine distemper is a highly contagious, extremely serious viral disease which occurs in dogs and other wild canids (e.g.. foxes, wolves and coyotes), raccoons, skunks and ferrets. It is an airborne virus, which affects the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and central nervous system of the animal. Puppies between three and six months and elderly animals are particularly at risk. Symptoms grow increasingly severe as the disease progresses, they include: Conjunctivitis (a watery, pus-like eye discharge) and inflammation of the eye Fever Nasal discharge Pneumonia (Coughing and labored breathing)_ Lethargy Reduced appetite Vomiting Diarrhea Seizures Hyperesthesia (increased sensitivity to sensory stimuli, such as pain or touch) Muscle twitching Progressive deterioration of mental abilities and motor skills Complete or partial paralysis What is the conventional treatment? There is no doubt that Canine Distemper is a serious illness. According to conventional veterinarian treatment, about 50% of dogs that contract it will die. Those that survive will often be left with debilitating conditions like permanent digestive problems, neurological problems, seizure disorders, deformities of the paw pads, etc. According to conventional veterinarian science, Distemper 'cannot be cured' and treatment is supportive only. Vaccination programs against Canine Distemper have made this viral illness less common in recent times. However, holistic vets point out that there are serious concerns about the wisdom of routine vaccination and its long term effect on the health of pets. What are the alternatives? Homeopathic vets have managed to treat Canine Distemper far more successfully than their allopathic counterparts. Using Distemperinum in homeopathic potency, both immunization of dogs as well as recovery rates in infected animals has proved to be highly successful. There is a wealth of evidence that this is the case and one can only wonder why allopathic vets are not making use of and being trained in the use of homeopathic medicine for their patients. Dr Horace B.F. Jervis, a veterinarian who pioneered the use of Distemperinum published a monograph in 1929 called 'Treatment of Canine Distemper with the Potentized Virus' Dr Jervis reports his frustration over many failed attempts at treating Canine Distemper during years of conventional treatment in a veterinarian clinic. This lead him to turn away from conventional veterinarian science and to begin treating his patients using the principles of homeopathic medicine. After developing a homeopathic treatment for Distemper, Dr Jervis writes: "I became intensely interested in the subject and bent all my energies to the study of it. My results were, and are, so much beyond my expectations that I am sorry not to be able to interest more veterinarians to take it up and give it a trial. Anyone doing so, I venture to say, will never go back to the old school again...Since commencing the use of this product the death rate in my distemper ward has been very materially decreased, and I have really for the first time in my years of practice felt a sort of load being lifted from my shoulders." Similarly, Dr Dorothy Shepherd, in her book, "Homeopathy in Epidemic Diseases" notes: "Here again homeopathy offers the best solution. Believe me, it has been shown again and again that our medicines given intelligently and according to our law, do not only cure infectious diseases speedily and easily without the development of any complications, but they also prevent these same diseases. ....I therefore have no hesitation in stating that from my own experience and observation, the homeopathic preventives are much safer in use, and absolutely certain in their effects. Even should the infectious, disease develop, it will be in a much milder form" In the words of Dr Richard Pitcairn, D.V.M., Ph.D, and founder of the Animal Natural Health Center (ANHC): "Based on my clinical experience, I think I can safely say that protection with nosodes is as reliable as with vaccinations and with the added advantage of few unwelcome side effects." What is Vi-Pro Plus? Vi-Pro Plus combines a Distemperinum nosode in homeopathic dose with homeopathic Bryonia and an herbal preparation of Echinacea, providing powerful protection against Distemper as well as many other viral illnesses. Used preventatively to immunize your dog, or curatively under the treatment of a homeopathic vet, Vi-Pro Plus can mean the difference between life and death. 50ml See Below To Purchase This Product What are the ingredients of Vi-Pro Plus? PetAlive Vi-Pro Plus contains the following 100% herbal and homeopathic ingredients: Distemperinum C30 is a homeopathic nosode used both prophylactically (preventatively) and curatively in the treatment of Canine Distemper. Homeopathic nosodes are similar to vaccines in that they help to build protection and resistance against specific diseases. They differ to conventional vaccines in that they are usually manufactured from the products of diseases rather than from a culture of the disease agent or virus itself (as in many conventional vaccines.) Research by Dr Horace B. F. Jervis, a veterinarian that pioneered the use of Distemperinum, has demonstrated the high rate of success in the treatment and prevention of Canine Distemper using this homeopathic 'vaccine'. This is in contrast to conventional veterinarian science, which states that more than 50% of dogs who contract this virus will die and the remainder will be very severely compromised for the rest of their lives. Bryonia C6 is a proven homeopathic remedy which is very effective for the treatment of coughs and dry mucus membranes, as well as the clearing of mucus from the chest. Echinacea purpurea is one of the top selling herbs for the treatment of colds, flu and other viral infections. Clinical trials have proved its effectiveness in a variety of settings. Studies have shown that Echinacea works by preventing the formation of hyaluronidase - an enzyme that is known to break the cell barriers between healthy tissue and pathogenic organisms like viruses. This immune boosting herb has also been successfully used to restore immune functioning in patients who have undergone chemotherapy. Lactose (inactive ingredient) (PetAlive Vi-Pro Plus contains no gluten, artificial flavors, colors or preservatives) How has Vi-Pro helped others? "I am moved to write in and say that our family dog would probably not be with us today were it not for this remedy. When our usual vet diagnosed a very ill dog with Distemper things looked very serious and he thought so too. Under his supervision we used your remedy because others have worked very well and we have all been amazed at the quick recovery. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts." - Sandy. "Luckily our vet agrees with us about yearly vaccination unlike the previous one who wanted to vaccinate every year. Our puppy is taking your Vi-Pro for Distemper to protect her against distemper and other viruses and we are confident that it will be as successful as your other products have been, including your EasyTravel for car sickness!" - Graham "This product is fantastic - from ease of administration to effectiveness it gets 10/10 from me. I have used all your oral vaccination products for my dogs with great confidence and they remain healthy and disease free." - Brent. "Here's my story. I bought a dog from a breeder in kentucky I am in Louisiana. I could not drive to meet [him] , so I decided to have him sent via airplane... The next day he started to have a seizure it was very unnerving. The Vet did some blood work and other test. He determined that our brand new dog that we instantly fell in love with had distemper and would most likely die or not be normal for the rest of his life if we were lucky. We don't have alot of money and they were recomending very expensive treatments. We being the good loving people we are turned to God in this circumstance. We searched for answers online, and by praying nonstop. Finally my mom who is a diehard holistic medicine believer turn us on to the thought of a natural cure. So, I searched and it did not take long. I found this site and was skeptical, because I am by nature. Well needless to say It came in the mail very fast. Then we begain treating him. Nothing happened at first, same old seizures 5 to ten times a day. Then one day he we woke up to him being more active... Now I am happy and blessed to say we have a wonderful healthy almost 1 year old puppy. He has made a full recovery... He brings much happiness to our home, and I truly feel this medicine had a part in that. God bless Native Remedies." - Richard M, LA "My dog was diagnosed with distemper. She became deathly ill! She wouldn't eat, or drink. Thinking I had done everything possible to save her, my last attempt was Vi-pro Plus. After just a few doses I saw the effect it made. She gradually got better and better. i have a 4 yr. old miniature poodle who is in good health. he has had Lyme disease since he was 6 mos. old? he was given antibiotics a few times when he refused to eat (sign that lyme is acting up). the past month or so, he has been having diarrhea. took him to the vet and they prescribed metronidazole. i gave it to him for 10 days and he was fine. a few days off of the medication, he started having diarrhea again. the vet put him on another 10 days. (through all this he has been acting fine, eating, playing, etc) how long can a dog stay on this medication ? my vet said that some dogs have to stay on this for a couple of months before the symptoms disappear. any dog owner have a similar problem >? i'm getting worried .
9 year old FEMALE DOG (?) always hungry and thirsty, any cure? My spaniel has developed a great hunger and thirst recently, she has been to the Vet,no kidney problems,in good health and very active still, suffers from "leakage" also, any ideas on how to control these symptoms with natural products?,I am reluctant to try a lot of pills that may be prescribed and not work. Yes diabetis and worms checked
what are the physical affects of abuse? im 25 years old and was healthy till recently. i got into a car crash and broke alot of bones and i have walking problems and am disfigured and have bone desnity issues and heart problems from the injury i had a hematoma on my heart. i was fine i was doing well getting by each day with enough energy and hope for the future. the main problem was my pain and mobility problem. i have trouble walking. i walk slow like a senior but now i have new symptoms., im normally a strong girl but recently my sister became abusive to me for the last 5 months non stops shes been hitting me every day sometimes with sticks or metal sticks or heavy objects or throwing things at me she lunges at me daily and scares me and screams at me and makes threats and says odd stuff. her speech slurs. she does things to try to sabotage me like she dosnt let me sleep at night. i need to stay up sometimes because i have a hard time getting food because i cant lift stuff or move my arms in certain directions. so i was waiting till a certain time to go into the kitchen to get food and she began to block the kitchen and wouldnt let me get any and i couldnt go to bed without food because i was dizzy and i cant lie down if i feel faint and didnt eat in almost 24 hours also the emotional abuse causes alot of pain she used to be nice to me. im going to a preist about this because some of the stuff she says is odd and i think it might be religous related im a religous person and this abuse seems more than criminal especially a sudden personality change and the stuff she says also i have tried cops in the past because other family members abused me and they didnt help. i tried social services too. but right now shes the one who brought this new abuse and i reAlIZED IN THE LAST LIKE MONTH i lost energey. i feel very depressed and hopeless. i have no energey maybe its from always fending for myself and not eating. or the beating? im not young now i used to get beat like that when i was 12. i was a kid and would run around all day now im in my 20s with health problems maybe its heart related? but new symptoms or maybe abuse related? anyways she is moving away soon. but im worried, we had a relationship.a cool sister sister relationship we used to be friends and now shes attacking me but ill talk to the preist about that and yes shes been mental health screened and came out negative her shrinks think she has social anxiety im so week now all the time and careless. i stopped caring about myself and ive been depressed before and wasnt week. so its probably not from depression i just feel bad that others take me down and try to harm me when im trying to care for my well being and raise myself to a level where i can function i want to go back to school and walk down a hall with a backpack but i cant. i cant barely walk or bend and i have pain and no arm strength also i noticed our house in infested with fleas. a neighbor brought their dog over when they dropped something off and since then everyones been bitten and i have bites all over my legs. like polka dots on the bottom of my legs maybe the fleas bite and make people lethargic? mo0squitos dont do that but fleas maybe? i dont know i just need to take care of my health and then get the heck out of this tangled mess. and get to a preist and fix whatever might be happening. or family counseling or whatever if the preist dosnt know
My dog needs to visit the vet... Need vet/vet tech advice. And holistic or conventional? First of all, I'm poor. I've got a part-time job and am in grad school. I'm a big fan of holistic medicine and have often given my dog (and myself) herbs and homeopathy and things that have made a big difference in his health. He's 13 years old and recently he's developed some bladder problems. Yesterday he actually started peeing in the house, which is really unusual for him. He gets a number of kidney supporting herbs/supplements (such as cranberry). When I started giving this to him, it seemed to improve a lot, but now it's gotten bad again. So my dilemma: I'd really like to take him to a holistic vet. From my preliminary research, the holistic vets in the area are expensive and don't have immediate openings... One I found that sounded good I'd need to wait about 2 weeks for an appointment. 1. Do you think that, given the symptoms I described, it would be OK to wait a couple weeks to have him seen by a vet? (more...) 2. Do you think that a holistic vet would be a good match for his symptoms? 3. Do you think that I should get blood work, urine tests or whatever other tests needs to be done at our regular vet (immediately) and then go to the holistic vet when they have an opening? I really don't want to do this because that would mean two office visits to two vets and just stepping into a vet's office is expensive. But holistic vets can check for all of the things (kidney stones, diabetes, etc.) that conventional vets can, right? And the vet I'm looking at also uses conventional medicine. It just seems to me like I've got more options with a holistic vet. It isn't the problem of money that makes me wait 2 weeks. It's the problem that the earliest appointment I can get with a holistic vet is in 2 weeks. Majestikmoose: I don't know where you live, but where I live there seems to be far more people wanting holistic care than doctors to provide it (even though there are a dozen doctors in my area). So, as much as I don't like it, the law of supply and demand says that they should be more expensive than a regular vet. One place that I called that had both holistic and conventional vets charged about twice as much for an office visit wtih the holistic vet.
should my dogs previous owners have to pay for her vet bill? i adopted an english bulldog a week ago. when i went to look at her i asked the owners if she was healthy and i explained to them that if she had any health problems i could not take her because i cant afford any vet bills. i am a single mother of two. they assured me that she is in perfect health and i took her home. after spending time with her i started noticing that there were some problems though. she wouldnt eat, she was very congested, she had problems going up and down stairs, she was caughing and sneezing alot. after the second day i called the previous owners back and they explained to me that "thats just how english bulldogs are" but told me that if i was concerned i should take her to the vet. after a week her symptoms only got worse. and now she is throwing up everytime she trys to eat or drink. so i took her to the vet. turns out she has severe ear infections, eye infections, hip dispashia and advanced Pnemonia. now she is at the vet for at least a week with an iv. she is on multiple meds and is getting a series of injections daily. the vet gave me an estamate of $800 for the final bill. the previous owner refuse to help me with the bill. they said "its not like you bought a car with a waranty" THE VET TOLD ME THAT ALL OF HER MEDICAL PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN PREASANT FOR WELL OVER A WEEK. SO THEY SOLD ME A SICK DOG AND THEY HAD TO HAVE KNOWN IT. $800!! isnt there anything i can do?

should i feel guilty? I am on the verge on leaving my boyfriend. Its not so much him but its our living arrangement. It is us my 3yr old and 3 big dogs that are not house broken. They are constantly going to the bathroom in the house and I have told him i refuse to clean up after his mutts! He wanted all these animals in this house he needs to clean up after them. He considers cleaning up throwing a towel over it and picking it up a week later. We have had to rip up all the carpet in the living room and hallway because the puppy he bought me could not stop going to the br on the carpet. I wanted to crate train her but no he didnt want to leave her in a cage all day. So therefore everyday is a new adventure to see what kind of mess she ahs made, emptying the water dish all over the floor or his other dog knocking over the food dish all over the floor. He is so lazy! We have to walk around with shoes on 24/7 because of the dogs. One pees everytime she lays down just about, one has her spot in the kitchen and the other goes right in front of the kitchen. Its not just that. We just dont see eye to eye on the kids. I am more laid back when it comes to the kids, well mine anyway. he is 3 he is going to play and crash his cars and just be a boy. Not while he is around. I dont know, maybe its just me but I just want more out of life! I am constantly broke cant even afford to go to the grocery half the time! I am overweight because i cant afford to buy the foods i like to lose weight to eat right. I had to file bankruptcy 3 months after moving in with him. Here it is 3 yrs later and I am still not happy! I love him but I want more for my son and myself. I want to be able to provide for my son and have money to do for me sometime. Is that being selfish? Now that I am seriouly thinking of leaving I feel guilty. Why should I feel guilty for wanting to be happy? I am scared to death to even say anything to him about it. I dont know how he will react. He will blame it on me like everything else. I am no angel by any means but I am not a horrible person like he makes me out to be. Every problem we have ever had is my fault! I have health problems I need to get to the dr about and cannot afford it. I think I have endometreosis. I have constant pain in my lower back in in my lower abdomen which I know are symptoms. Took 2 yrs to get preg lost that pregnancy after a month. Every woman in my family has had it and had full historectomies ( however u spell it) by the age of 30. I am 27. If there is something wrong with me I need to know before my chances of having another baby is gone! In his defense I will say he has changed somewhat he is doing things he wasnt doing before, but its like its 3 yrs too late. Am I wrong for feeling this way? Should I feel guilty for wanting to leave to make a better life for me and my son? Thank you to who ever reads this whole thing and responds. Just dont know what to do. _________________ BTW - He always told me I would be gone before the dogs would be! I have a place to go. My parents have said we can come live w/ them! I am so blessed to have them!!!!
More Canine Brucellosis in Washington info from craigslist? http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/CanineRepro-PuppyCare/post?postID=570i_-y0j8_xfSr4-5RoaIO4q4nZ66E_vr3xSXJpOdiv_wUgW3AP9oQABakA-zqFn0DSSFoFQ1JhAJ0QMxur8g>; *City Government and Health reporter* The Lewis County Health Department is warning anyone who has purchased or adopted a dog from a rural Lewis County woman, to have that dog tested for canine brucellosis, a dangerous bacterial infection. According to the health department, a dog owned by a dog breeder and rescuer tested positive for the disease earlier this week. A total of four dogs are believed to have the disease, as of this morning. Because the infected dogs were in close contact with more than 110 dogs, it is very likely more dogs are infected with the disease. And, because the breeder kept no records, there is no way to predict how many more dogs with the disease have been sold. This breeder, who lives in the Ethel-Toledo area, sells several breeds of purebred and "designer" mixed breeds, including pugles (beagle-pug mix) and terrier-Chihuahua mixes. In addition, she rescues dogs of all breeds and adopts them out. All of the 110 dogs on her property have been tested for the disease, but the health department is advising anyone who may have bought or adopted a dog since mid-February to have the animal tested by a veterinarian. At-risk dogs were sold along state Route 508 near Mary's Corner, on U.S. Highway 12 at or near the Ethel Market, or from a parking lot at Interstate 5 exit 79 in Chehalis. The breeder's identity is confidential, as she has done nothing illegal. She is described as a woman in her 20's or 30's. She sells the dogs out of a red car. The Department of Agriculture has quarantined the breeder's property and she is forbidden to sell, give away, or otherwise remove any of the animals now there, said Kathleen Eussen, health department director. Canine brucellosis is a bacterial infection that causes abortions and infertility in females, and reproductive problems and infertility in males. Because treatment is rarely successful in dogs, it is recommended that dogs with the disease be euthanized. Symptoms may be unnoticed in females, but males may have testicular swelling and infections. Other possible symptoms include lethargy, loss of libido, premature aging and swollen lymph nodes, according to the International Veterinary Information Service. The disease, which may be transmitted to humans, is very rare in Washington. For information, telephone a veterinarian or the health department at 740-1222.

Chronic Hives? My roommate has been living in my house since August 2007. I have an indoor dog, jack russell and beagle mix, who just got back from the vet with a clean bill of health, no ticks or fleas in sight. She started getting chronic hives about 2-3 months ago. She thought they were stress related, but on a recent trip to New York she said they went away two days into the trip. The night she came back she woke up with them back in full force. I am convinced it's something in the house, but I can't figure it out! I clean religiously, sweep and dust and the house is almost exclusively hardwood floors. I have had no symptoms and she had no problems until recently, so I don't know how it could be the dog. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Hit my head hard but seem to be ok - help?!? About 12 hours ago I was playing with my dog on the floor (lying down) and was close to a door frame and my dog jumped at me and I moved back really hard and hit the back of my head on the left side on the door frame. I remember what happened before and after the hit, and I haven't had any crazy symptoms such as vomiting or personality change or vision blurriness, but I have a dull headache. I have taken a nap since then as well and have been able to be woke up without any problems. The only thing is the dull headache and just alittle sensation of heaviness. I have no health insurance right now but I do have Medicaid as I am six months pregnant. Would Medicaid cover a trip to the ER or a CT Scan? I doubt it. It's a shame that I have to worry about dying all because I can't afford an ER visit. I know head trauma is nothing to play around with... but I don't seem to have any crazy symptoms yet. Help??
