There I ask Ben about his project. He told me while he drives to Marina Del Rey’s port. He told me he wants to film a documental of his trip around the world, also that he chose me as his cameraman he want me to film his entire trip then edit it to a film. He laughs and say is going to be fun, anything that happen will be recorded there is not guide. When we arrive to the port it was 10:15 am of November 3. This ship will take us to Japan in 1 week and a half; with out stuck. We sail immediately, in the ship I think it was the begging of a long trip. The clime was really good the ship was going with good speed. Onboard Ben told me all about the trip the cities we are stopping and places we are going. We arrive to Tokyo Japan in November 13. When we go down the boat and saw Tokyo we were impressed it was a city full of tall buildings it was really small compared with Los Angeles. He wants us to go around the city before we take the airplane to china. We start going around and we see the Japanese know a lot of technology. There are a lot of people over 12millions in this little town. Late we take the metro and go to Kita one of the most important neighborhoods in Tokyo. There we eat the typical food while we speck with Japanese that speak English like us. He told us that there was an International Film Festival the next day in Shibuya other neighborhood of Tokyo. When we finish we took a bus to Shibuya; we search for hours but we don’t find it we were so disappointed, we decide to fly away from Tokyo to china that night. We don’t want to see more oriental people so we only change of airplane there. Now we were in El Cairo Egypt with one of the hottest temperature I ever feel. We rent a camel and go to the pyramids and go inside of the biggest one, it make me feels strange like a mystic force there we saw a scarab of the size of my hand and I record it Ben was so proud because it was a really strange event. When we go out of the pyramids we ask a man if he can film us in the entrance of the pyramid. Instead he start running he try to steal our camera we run as fast as we can but he run faster but we were very thirsty. The sand doesn’t let us run faster. Seconds later something unexpected happen the robber start screaming of pain he say a scorpion bite him. We catch him and took the camera and we also saw the scorpion we start shouting for help until an Egyptian see us and he ask for help with a Mobil. Another hard day for us and all was recorded. The next day in the morning we take an air plane to Portugal but there was a problem with the airport, so we land in Spain and go from there to New York. When we were landing we saw the statue of liberty, the empire state and the streets full of traffic and make us feel in our country after all. When we land we took a car and drive true all USA it take us 4 days going in the speedways. Once there I and Ben speak of our adventure and the film we edited and make a TV series. who follows the food guide pyramid? I mean, it is so lame. all the serving sizes are ridiculous. besides, why do we have to eat food that is disgusting such as vegetables and some fruits. i am a heavy dairy, meat and grain eater. most of my diet consists of that and LOTS of sweets and fats. i eat cake, cookies, or whatever "junk" food i can find everyday. and i dont mean small sizes. the average size of cake i eat is about 3 inches outside length. i am 15 years old, 5'5", i weigh 106 lb and i work out for about 45 minutes 3 days a week.. i dont know what the big deal is about all this "eat healthy" fad. i eat junk food a lot but i am healthy. besides i am going to eat what i like and enjoy that part of life, not making myself suffer eating yucky foods so what is the big deal? those sizes on the food guide pyramid are huge and most dont even help (like the grains) no im not 10. i am 15 if you read my original explanation
The Food Guide Pyramid? Now that I've decided It's time to put my diet into plan, I need help with getting it started. Just have a question I need answered (Btw I'm a 14 year old male, 6'0 tall and 280 lbs... you can see why I'm getting my shit together) Basing my diet of the FGP, and a Nutrition log I have, I discovered that I need 2,650 calories a day to maintain weight, but I'm going to cut it by 300 calories, and stick with a daily workout routine, to lose about 2-3 lbs a week. I'm just wondering, (and this might seem pretty simple) but on the food guide pyramid, it lists the groups, recommended servings, and then some options. For instace, for Milk,Yogurt and Cheese it says 2-3 servings a day, then it says: -1 cup milk/yogurt. -2 oz. cheese. Does this mean that 1 cup of milk is 1 serving? Or that 1 cup of milk is all I need for that group daily? Actually, I need 3,500 calories a day to maintain weight, but I'm going to take it to 2,600

The French food pyramid or food guide ? pictures or anything would be nice. Thanks
Does anyone here follow the "Food Guide Pyramid"? If so, why? Don't you realize that it's a "recipe" for fatness and health disaster? Tori, actually the increase in fat was probably the best change they made to it. Fat is NOT bad for you - on the contrary, fat is necessary for building muscle and LOSING fat. Unfortunately, the gov lumps the fat found in ring dings and the fat found in a hunk of salmon together....
food pyramid? Explain the components of the food guide pyramid as presented by the USDA
Is the Food Pyramid considered Anti-Semitic? Since the Jewish slaves did a lot of the hard labor building the originals for the Egyptians... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food_guide_pyramid
Are you supposed to follow the Food Pyramid for your daily diet? or is there something else I could follow so I'm sure I get the proper nutrients every day. I have a horrible diet and I never eat fruits or vegitables and I want to change that, but I need some sort of chart or guide to help me.
eating and the pyramid? I need a food guide pyramid for pregnant women. I'm 18 weeks and 5 days and so far I have lost 5 pounds. I haven't thrown-up or anything. I want to fill one out so that next time I go to my doctors I can show it to him. I know that at this stage some women don't gain a lot of weight or none at all. My doctor said that it is fine not to gain weight but he would like it if I stopped losing weight. I'm looking for a website that has a journal style page to fill out with all the stuff you should eat so I can check it off through out the day. I also need one that shows you what everything counts for ex. 8 strawberries equals 2 serving or something like that. does anyone know of a good site with pages I can print off and fill-out? thanks
Do you think that colleges need to have better food options available for the students they serve? I think that colleges need to have better food options available for their students in three ways. One was is to have a variety of options and using the food pyramid as a guide. By having variety, you have more grains available along with a good selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh dairy and poultry options and limit the use of fats, oils, and sweets. Another way is not having the food be a buffet style (like the Golden Corral for example) and instead a student can only has to go in line only once and tell a cafeteria worker what they would like to eat because if a student eats way too many calories in a day and they are unable to burn off the calories, they will gain weight. Finally, universities need to ask students what kind of options they would like to see available at the school so that the college cooks for what is in the students interest.
I have a question about the food pyramid? My question told me to go and look at this video http://www.mypyramid.gov/global_nav/media_animation-presentation_eng_pc.html and my question was: You watched a video on why and in what ways the Food Pyramid has been changed. Summarize a few of the major reasons for change and how this guide better serves a wide variety of people. Any one have any ideas on what i can write?
