Mend Your Diet

Can I use kalamansi for the lemonade diet?

I live in the Philippines, and kalamansi is the local lemon (it practically replaces lemon in everything and is even squeezed to make a juice really similar to lemonade). I'm planning to go on the lemonade diet, but I can't find any good lemons here since they're all imported (and thus, not fresh but really expensive). Will kalamansi have as good a detox effect as lemons? Of course, I know it won't really be the "lemonade" diet anymore, but I want to know if this is possible. Please don't give me lectures on losing weight healthily (that's not the reason I'm on this diet) and also, if you'll answer "go to your doctor", please don't bother, as the doctors here overcharge and do nothing. All the good ones go abroad. Thanks in advance.

  1. If you want to go on any diet, ask for yourself whether you can stay with it life long. Otherwise, even if you lose weight, you will get it back as soon as you are off the diet. My advice is to make suitable changes in the diet(like replacing whole milk with skimmed milk, replacing fries with boiled foods of the same variety etc.
