- No. That's why they're fads. They come in and make all these promises. Everyone talks about it and tries it and before long, it's obvious that it was all a lie--the diet doesn't work. So, then it's out and another one comes in with the same results. You have to diet and exercise. That is the only way to lose weight. You didn't gain weight fast, so don't expect it to come off of you fast. Here is a chart to see what your weight should be.
