Crash Diet?
I was just wondering if anyone has ever had any experience with crash dieting, especially really overweight people who've tried and if you've lost a lot of weight. I'm not trying to be mean but i really don't want any answers about the dangers of crash dieting or any negative stuff like that, those answers will def. not earn a best answer. Thanks for any of you who share

- Wel i did crash diet. But i didnt think i was doing it. I started dieting to lose weight. And then one day i stopped feeling hungry and ate a really really small meal a day. I didnt know i was hurting my self at the time. So yea crash dieting doesnt work you'll jsut gian all the weight back plus more
- From my experience and those I know who tried, it's not as effective as most people would think. People who have a larger appetite have larger stomaches so crash dieting leaves them feeling weak, dizzy, but also it increases your chances of binging. Also reduction in food suddenly will cause your body to be confused. It'll start wondering where all the food went and drop your metabolism i.e. you're burning very very VERY little calories. So next time you eat, you might even build up more fat because it'll think it's a rare occasion that you have access to plentiful food. Best way is to slowly and gradually reduce the amount of food you eat to a smaller yet healthy amount in addition to toning exercises to increase your metabolism.
- People I know that have tried Crash Diets have of course lost lots of weight only to regain it all back plus more. Some now have lots of health issues which their doctors told them it was a result of the crash diet. I rather lose it slowly, because I didn't gain it over night.
- I tried crash dieting. At first, it was great, I lose 10 pounds in the first week. We always start out thinking that we can stick to this diet but on my crash diet, I was limiting myself to 200 calories. Then one day, I decided to eat something and I couldn't stop. Then I gained back all the weight I lost. What really worked for me was calorie shifting.
- I'm in the modeling industry and I do crash diets all the time. I wasn't overweight but sometimes I do go OVER the weight I'm supposed to be at for my photo/video shoots so I have to go on crash diets. For me, I never had the problem with gaining all the weight back or gaining even more. On my crash diets, I eat less than 700 calories per day, run for an hour each day, do 100 push ups and 100 sit ups every day as well. I also drink 2 bags of diet tea every day. Doing all of that, you can lose 2-5 lbs in a week depending on your current weight. But to keep those lbs off after your crash diet, dont go back to the same diet you had before the crash. Eat more than 700 cals of course, but keep it below 1200 cals. Space your meals out, a couple hundred cals each meal spaced out 4-6 hrs throughout the day to keep you energized enough and boosting metabolism. Drinking green tea also helps with metabolism. But yeah...I've done this enough to know I've never gained back all that weight.
