Anorexia???
I always think about not eating; I'll skip lunch at school but when my friends ask me why, I just tell them i'm not hungry. I'm constantley reading about people dying and being hospitalized from anorexia; but i'm really about to stop. Especially because i have to be a pool parties in a few months for the summer. How likley is it for someone to be hospitalized or die from anorexia?

- It's very likely if you let it get bad enough.
- Not eating isn't helping you lose weight. By starving yourself, your body will store more fat from the foods you do eat. Basically what this means is that your body will start storing fat it would otherwise dispose of. You'll either become too mal-nourished and become fucked up for the rest of your life, or you'll get fat. So by not eating youll either become fat and have an impossible time trying to lose it, or youll be sick for your entire life.
- you might think that not eating will make you skinny and you proably believe being skinnier will make you happier and look better, you might lose weight but being anorexic makes your hair fall out it, it will make your hair look horrible, if your bulimic it causes your teeth to detoriate it's not worth it i've had friends with both eating disorders and they wish everyday that hadnt started doing it b/c it's impossible to stop. People die from it b/c they dont get the nutrition they need and it is very possible to die from it. Once you stop eating you'll lose weight but you'll never stop losing weight you'll be emaciated and it causes many other effects. You might have kidney failure, or a heart attack.
- Any time you don't eat it hurts your body. A few years ago I was a junior in high school and doing the same thing you're doing. I didn't eat breakfast. At lunch the most I'd have was a few sips of someone elses drink and at dinner, I'd eat as little as possible but enough to not make my parents suspiscious. It seemed alright for a while, but I started to faint frequently. I still kept it a secret and didn't eat. After a while, I was confronted by some of my friends and older sister about it and finally started eating normally. At the time I thought I hadn't done damage to myself at all, but now I'm having a lot of problems. Because I was so unhealthy from not eating, I caused damage to my heart. I now have high blood pressure that I have to take medicine for and monitor five times a day. I didn't even know till almost a year ago when I had a very minor stroke. I was nineteen and had been eating healthy for two years. So please keep in mind that just because it seems okay now, you are cause irreversible damage to yourself. If you want to tone up for swimsuit season try eating healthy foods and working out. It may be harder and more time consuming, but its worth it and the results will last longer.
- It is very serious condition. You could easily be putting your self in danger. The more serious your anorexia is the more likely you will have serious health problems because of it. And I agree with everyone else who posted here- not eating is defiantly not helping. I tried that when I was in high school. I gained ten pounds my senior year because I only ate one meal a day. Not want you want! Eat smaller meals, watch your portion sizes but eat healthy. That works the best. Plus exercise. That helps you loose weight instead of just not eating. Lots of girls struggle with this condition. I know how it feels- I have been there. Have a positive self image! And good luck!
