I have just heard about the Lemon Detox Diet and was wondering whether anyone can tell me if it works?
And if there is any side affects, does it really make you feel better and give you clearer skin and healthier hair? i am not so much interested in the weight loss side of it but whether it actually cleanses the body.

- Your body is self-cleansing, you don't need to go on some whacky diet to do that. In fact, the vast majority of them are NOT healthy for the body, which needs fibre etc to ensure that the bowels etc keep moving to self-cleanse!
- The above is right. Your body constantly self-cleanses with water and fiber. You're hurting your body when you starve yourself. The only reason 'cleansing' diets may make you look better is they stop you from eating bad food for a few days. No more Twinkies, McDonalds, or beer and soda, and your body becomes a little healthier. The only problem is you starve at the same time, which makes weight loss more difficult.
