- I thought I was doing great on it, but I went overboard and stripped my system of essential fatty acids and was in bed with abdominal for a weekend and had to stop. If you do it, get plenty of olive oil in your diet, limit alcohol and only do it for a couple weeks. I was drinking 1/2 lemon squeezed into a large cup of warm water (or cool). When I was doing that in the morning only I had no problem. When I started to do that a couple times a day it caused me problems (I was also likely not drinking enough plain water, or getting enough olive oil - and I continued to have a glass of wine or 2 each day). You might also want to add magnesium to your diet, to aid in the quick elimination of toxins you dislodge - that can mean a supplement, extra blueberries or epsom salt in a bath or the bottom of the shower. Peace!
- It's called the Master Cleanse diet, and you drink a mixture of lemon water with pepper and syrup. It doesn't work, it doesn't "detox" you, and the only weight you lose it strictly water. The second you eat solid food again, you'll gain it right back. You won't look thinner. It's just another fad diet.
- The lemonade diet comes from Stanley Burroughs book on The Master Cleanser. Apparently Beyonce and a few Hollywood stars used this diet to lose weight rapidly in order to look good for their roles. The lemonade diet is not actually for weight loss per se, but more for cleansing toxins. Having said this, there are several ways to cleanse your colon or liver. Lemonade diet is just one of the several.
