anorexia...?
ok, so after about a year i have come to my senses, and i think i may have anorexia. I constantly think about my weight and how many calories I'm eating and how fat I will become. I want all of that to change, and want to be happy. I am now 5"3 and 100 pounds, not THAT thin. Therefore, I would like to start eating more, but not really gain back a TON of weight. How much do you think I should try to start eating eeryday? How many calories? And should I start weight lifting? Any help is appreciated, I am just sick of this life

- K... um.. first of all i don't think you quite have anorexia but you aren't being heathly so it's good you realize that. Um... i'm not really in any position to give you advice considering i'm struggling bulimia but the only thing i can tell you is go live life. Eat what you want but just exercise later. Weight lifting is great!! but not everyday just be sure to stay active. park at the back of the parking lot.... go for walks... so.... eat what you want and exercise after!!
- I am a former anorexic. Chances are you have starved all the muscle from your body and you have a high percentage of fat to muscle left. You need to eat at least 1200 calories per day. You need at least 20 grams of fat a day for healthy skin, nail, bowel movements, etc. Start there. You may want to see a dietician for a meal plan to get you started. Also look into seeing a personal trainer that can show you how to keep a toned body that is healthy and not starved. I am a personal trainer and live a healthy lifestyle now..you can do it and look great the healthy way.
- Look, Ill give you access to my diet calorie calculator. It will tell you exactly how many calories you shoudl be eating for maximum fat loss. If you want to maintain just ad 20% to the number it calculates. http://www.Burning-The-Fat.com/DCC
- I'm not sure how much you should eat buy a book on eating healthy or ask a doctor like you I worry too about what I eat as for I want to loose weight and get back to my old size 115 so I eat fruit, veges, chicken things like that don't have much fat, also try vitamins .
- your best bet is to work with a dietician. he/she will help formulate a meal plan for your needs and help you regulate your exercise. realizing that you have a problem is the first step. also you should see a therapist they will help you along the long road you have to travel.
- Well... i know how it feels to be obsessed with calories and fat and stuff and i know it's horrible. I'm sure you know what's healthy and good for you so eat that! Have a few treats here and there and if you find yourself gaining weight excercise a bit more. Hope this helps and all the best to you!
- Eat what you want, but try to keep it about 2000 calories a day to maintain your weight. And be sure to eat a lot of fruits and veggie and also whole grains.
