Mend Your Diet

How much weight can I lose in two months?

I'm 18 years old, 134 pounds. I'm wondering how much weight I could lose in two months. I don't want to do any fad diets, or weight loss pills or anything like that. I'm just curious what the approximate number is when you're trying to lose weight the healthy way within two months. Thanks!

  1. about 15 if you stick to it well
  2. I lost about 20 pounds for two months when I didn't eat at night
  3. You cant healthfully lose 1.5-2lbs per week without any energy pills or fad diets. I would suggest eating 5-6 times a day(small meals) and working out 6 days a week. Alternate cardio and weight training days and on cardio days try to do at least 45 minutes of cardio. Circuit training has helped me the most and everyone I've spoken to say its the best way. I do 1 minute at a very hard level ie. sprints or pedaling as fast as I can on the stationary bike then i rest for 2 minutes. I also try to change up my cardio exercises every couple of days so that my body doesn't get used to the same routine. Good luck
  4. The rule of thumb seems to be that anything more than one poud or one kilo a week is too much. That equates to 8 pounds or 8 kilos in two months. I think the pounds figure is probably the better one so you do need a bit of patience. The kilo figure, of course, requires less patience but is not necessarily better than the pound figure. Slow and steady is often much better than fast and unsteady.
