  1. Good question....I am interested in doing this too!
  2. Honestly detox has been proven to be fake. It doesn't really do anything. your body constantly detoxifies itself. That is the reason you experience bowel movements and you urine. Detox can really rip you off so save your money and if your looking to have a healthier life look for another alternative. Meditation and Yoga really help out. <3alley
  3. I tried the master clense diet, i guess it is a sort of detox. I could only do it for 3 days and lost 12 pounds but it is not a healthy way to lose anyway here it is 12 oz water 2 tsp of organic maple syrup 2 tsp lemon juice a pinch of cayanne peper expect to pee and poo a lot, make sure you clean your face twice a day because I heard it can make you break out. Absolutly no soda or food while on this little diet. Don't do it longer than 7 days and you might feel dizzy at the end.
  4. During the detox diet, you can lose anywhere between 7 and 10 pounds in the first week, which sounds great. But, and here's the big but, to be honest, you will simply lose muscle and water weight, not fat! The health conditions will vary depending on your current health and fitness status, however the diet is guaranteed to have some form of a negative effective on everyone, whether it be temporary heart tremors, or a life long susceptibility to stroke! Also, you will obviously feel very weak during the period you are detoxing, however, did you know that this weakness can continue even once you return to normal eating habits! Weakness and faintness can persist for up to one year due to the temporary lack of nutrients. All in all, this is a very dangerous diet, and I do not suggest it to anyone!
  5. Instead of trying to get rid of excess weight that's in your colon, try adding fiber to you diet daily. Adding fiber will keep your colon from getting all compacted and you will get rid of the waste daily. A detox diet might clean you out today and tomorrow but by the third day your already holding on to toxins. Try having plain oatmeal for breakfast, adding more veggies (both raw and cooked) and substituting 100% whole grain breads and pasta for regular white bread and pasta. Apples are also excellent. Increase your fiber by 5 grams a day until you hit 40 grams and be sure to drink plenty of water. If you keep up with a high fiber diet and drink planty of water you won't need to detox.
