Detox diet?!?

My friend is doing this 3 day detox plan where on the first day you eat only protein. Every two hours from the time you wake up, you mix in a certain amount of protein into water. And the hour inbetween you drink a large amount of water. Your only solid meal for the first day is a 3-6 cup veggie salad with grilled chicken, fish or turkey. The second and third day you eat fruit every two hours from the time you wake up with water for the hour inbetween fruit servings with the same salad on both the 2nd and 3rd nights This three day diet claims you loose up to 10 pounds and when my friend did it the first time she lost 6 which isnt bad at al! But what is the likelyhood that this weight stays off? It seems like too short of time to loose that much weight and keep it off!

  1. you have to aim to lose weight safely rather than quickly,or else they wont last(because u wil lose muscle and moisture and its always fat that returns) and will affect ur health...aim about losing a pound every 2 or 3 days and work for it...good luck
  2. cleaning out your body's waste material is a good idea to loose weigh, but getting into shape and eating healthier is the best way to keep it. I have worked all three of the diets your talking aobut here, and they do work, but you have to get into shape to keep if off, or cut out more cal. and carbs.
  3. She's just losing water weight and the weight will come right back when you return to eating normally.
