detox diet?

has anyone tried it? ive been wanting to.i heard its supposed to cleanse your whole body & possibly help you to loose weight.. has anyone lost weight from doing this? (:

  1. I used a "body cleanse" from GNC. All it did was made me constipated and bloated. Just be prepared if you dont get the results you wont. I DIDNT
  2. Ok, here's the deal with detox diets: you will choose either to go on a raw fruit and vegetable fast, a juice fast or a water fast... Then you will enter into a period of pre-fasting, where you give up coffee, refined sugars and the like... Then you begin your fast... You may initially feel sluggish, tired and so on but that will eventually pass and you will feel lighter and slightly rejuvenated... and yes you may loose weight along the process.. Now the downfall is this: you are putting your body through great stress... while "cleansing" the body will release quite a bit of toxins, depending on the depth of your cleanse... Now if you plan to go back to your normal eating habits after the detox you will put your body into double shock. First it gets rid of the toxins then you add them back! Detox diets or cleanses are great if you are looking to modify your eating habits like get rid of sugar cravings or stop drinking coffee or go vegan... but to detox simply to loose weight or because it's the "in" thing to do will not do your body right...

It was great. Once you are done. You well have less craving for junk food. It makes you feel like new. With all the toxins and waste out of your body. During the diet. You well go to the bath room a lot. Since its cleaning up all the waste that is building in your body. But you well much better when you are done. The health benefit its great. And people lose average of 1-2 pounds a day.
  4. I would suggest a cleansing diet. I lost 12 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. I also lost a lot of inches too! I learned that cleansing will help the body get rid of toxins. Toxins come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives and lots of other things. The toxins get stored in the fat in our body. To get rid of the fat, we have to get rid of the toxins by cleansing the body. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow.   5. I used a body cleansing program 2 years ago and have kept the weight off. I can't imagine you doing a 9 day program and not losing weight. I lost 11 pounds and almost 14" and I'm a size 6! Don't pick a free program, you'll get what you pay for. Make sure you're getting a whole body cleanse and not just a colon cleanse.
