Mend Your Diet

weight loss?

I've been working out for 5 weeks now and my mom keeps telling me that i'm losing weight but.. i don't really see big results. I mean i can tell that i've lost some weight but I still have weight to lose (17ish). Anyways i was just wondering if this is normal? For other people to notice your weight loss before you do

  1. Yes. You will hardly ever notice your own weight loss as you see yourself everyday in the mirror and you will adapt to it. However other people will notice especially if they haven't seen you in a month or so.
  2. Really, I would say it is easier to spot the results yourself before other people do. You probably pay more attention to your body than others. Maybe, though, you just don't realize that the results you are getting are as defined as they are. Keep at it, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
  3. Sometimes when you start working out to lose weight, you actually GAIN some weight at first. But DON'T WORRY! Because you're only gaining muscle, which weighs more than fat, and muscle burns more calories than fat. So in the long run, you will lose the weight you want. Just keep going :]

  5. What you are doing is toning your body which thins your out almost instantly...This is one of the tricks in modleing I used....Sounds like your goal of the 17ish you want to lose will happen..so nice to hear you found a good workout routine to fit you body...Good luck....
  6. Yes, because you're most likely so focused on the scale and on numbers that you're not looking at yourself properly in the mirror. However, your mother probably has every one of your features tucked into her mind...so she can tell what's happening with your body. It's always like that with attentive parents. It may also be that your mom is trying to be very supportive, which is great! I'm glad your weight loss has been going well thus far.,,,good luck! ^_~
