Weight loss?

Around July 12th, I weighed about 225 pounds. I went through some personal issues with the loss of a relationship with my girlfriend. Through the stress, I lost my appetite, couldn't eat and started losing weight. I noticed within a month or so, alot of the not eating from the stress was gone but,I didn't have the same appetite that I did before. I weighed again this morning and was 187 pounds. That is a loss of 38 pounds over 9 weeks. I don't have the appetite that I did and obviously don't eat as much. It doesn't seem to matter what I do eat now though, I continue to lose weight. I do feel alot better physically from it. Have you ever went through something like this?

  2. I went through this when I went through a divorce. I lost about 30 pounds and it has pretty much stayed off. I think your body is probably working its way toward what it was supposed to be all along. If you continue to lose weight drastically, though, you should go to a doctor and make sure it's not something more. Otherwise, chalk it up as one good thing that came out of a horrible situation. I'm sorry you had to go through what you've been through.
  3. I have gone through it several times. I, however, put the weight back 2wice the weight I was. I would watch what you eat. Try not to go back to the eatting habits you had before. Congrats on the weight loss..
  4. Yup. Same thing happened to me after my first wife was killed in a car accident. I lost about 30 pounds in two months. Don't sweat it. I don't have any proof to back this up, but I believe everyone hits a certain point where it's easier to keep losing weight (and I also believe everyone has a point where it's a lot easier to gain weight). You're in that losing-weight phase. Eventually it'll slow down and stop because your body will refuse to give up any more pounds. Now would be a good time to figure out your goal weight and how you're going to get there. If you want to lose more weight and you're still losing weight, then there's no need to change anything right now. But if you've lost too much and you want to gain some back, you need to start eating right and you need to do strength training.
