Mend Your Diet

I want my stomach to be flat and i have a pudge. What dieting tips do you suggest?

I am not fat nor skinny i consider my self medium/thick. I love all the other parts of my body I just want to work on my stomach. Any exercise or dieting tips. Please give suggestive comments not dumb comments.

  1. One exercise that targets the stubborn stomach area is called The Bicycle. To do The Bicycle, simply lay on the floor pressing your lower back to the ground. Your hands are beside your head. Bring your knees to an approximate 45-degree angle and slowly go through the motion of pedaling a bicycle.   2. The abs are always the toughest for people that don't have the "skinny gene". They require that your overall body fat be in the 7 to 10% range. So I suggest that you monitor your caloric intake and do whatever you can to burn calories. Spot reducing is a pipe dream. You CAN improve the appearance of that area a BIT by improving the way that you carry yourself. Strong torso muscles and good posture will help a bit. Torso twists and yoga stretches can be good for this. As to strengthening the abdominals themselves... they require LOTS of reps. Whereas 10 to 15 reps is plenty for each set in arm exercises like curls, the abdominals generally require sets of 25 and 50. Most models who keep track of such things do literally hundreds of reps every day. Crunches are good, situps are good, leg raisies especially in a support frame are good but be dure to support your back as these can all be hard on it.
  3. The color blue is said to be like an appetite suppressant (probably because there aren't many types of blue food). Try hanging a blue sheet over your kitchen entrance or on one of the walls you are facing the most at home.
