Sicko - Health system feeds off of illness and immoral activity ?

Sicko - Health system feeds off of illness and immoral activity? Countries that have socialized health care, there is no 'profit in disease', merely good health. Problem is that 'prevention' is the best of cures, the simplest of cures, and both US/Canadian systems, prevention is bad for those in business who profit from treating illness, not preventing it; the devil is in the details. Should America and Canada socialize their health systems, GM and Ford benefit would benefit from good health and reduced health care costs ? ( Canada's health care system is not socialized, merely publically funded, (half-truth) with most all services provided by the private enterprises, doctors who incorporate) Italy, pays its family doctors a fee per patient per year, thereby motivating the system to prevent disease, it is also ranked in the top two in the world, the USA is ranked 36th, and Canada 30th. 1. I saw "SICKO," and found that it has the same merits and demerits as most of Michael Moore's films: it makes some great points, but relies too much on "stunts" and half-baked characterizations. It's definitely true that any time you have a health care system set up for profit, as we do in America, you'll inevitably wind up denying patients care in order to fatten your bottom line. There's no way around that. The health care industry absolutely should be socialized for this reason.
  2. what oh yea, wonderful sounds much like our NHS thing is you'd be paying tax to the government for it and governments like to cut corners so there are problems with it. now i understand privite companies have much more to gain from it.
  3. Health systems need the sickly, ill and bad health or else we would have no need for a health system. Because we would all be, well, immortal. I really don't see a question here though. But like all of Moore's crappy films, he only shows the positive an what will look good but fails to mention what actually goes on that is bad, wrong and need not be for a health care system of universal nature. I did not see him talking about the 3-6 month waiting lists to be checked and then treated or heard about how many people die in a universal health care system than that of ours. He is a shyster like that idiot who made the "Super Size Me" film. Of course you are going to get fat and obese if you eat fast food for every meal for a month straight, let alone all your life! Anyone with a brain knows this. They are all making money off of the American public because many do not look into any of this stuff for themselves and just allow someone else to tell them what is going on, and little do they know, they aren't even being told everything.

  5. I saw Sicko I thought it was great. But I hope people weren't taking it too literally. My father has diabetes and we had a bill of over 98,000 dollars last year because of all his medicine, physical theory, and hospital stays. Do you know how much are deductible was? Zero dollars. Nothing. My insurance took care of all of it. Michael Moore would want people to think things like that are impossible. But our system isn't that bad.
  6. This form of increasing revenue is not limited to health care, but runs rampant across the board, for it is born of human design and is fed by having many gods. Reform will come through honesty and understanding, but as the race believes in lies and the necessity for them, not much will change.
