lose weight???
I am 5'4 and 130-135 lbs. (i am a teenager) I want to lose 5-10 lbs. in 3 months but I want to know how far/how long to run if i run 4-5 days a week. And also what else can i do (i cant do elliptical cause i cant go to a gym) to lose weight. What exercises and things would be good? (I have access to a track, treadmill, and weights/ weight bench w/lateral bar ) Thanks for your help : )

- Do a long cardio workout at medium intensity (with some intervals of difficult for 30 seconds at a time) for 45-60 minutes 2-3 times a week on the treadmill. For the remaining 3-4 days, do a 30-45 minute cardio workout for a similar intensity. You can do these cardio workouts on the track or treadmill. Vary your workouts though----you want to shock your body every time you do a workout. Your body will get use to the "routine" if it is too routine. You can also jump rope, run up and down stairs, walk fast for long periods of time, ride a bike, etc. You also need to do some strength training to build muscle. Consult a book or magazine such as Health or Shape for some free weight exercises. Lunges are good for legs. Also, diet is important big time. NO AMT OF EXERCISE WILL MAKE UP FOR A POOR DIET! Be sure to eat a BALANCED DIET. You need to eat certain amounts of fat to lose fat, so don't cut it out! Good luck
- i recommend of filling yourself up with a lot of water, fruits, and veggies. Try to stay away from starches and sweets. And for exercise, march in place for as long as possible if you dont have a treadmill handy, if you do.. then use them!!
- You can keep your calorie intake to 1,300, and run every other day on your tredmil for 20 minutes. It really works.
