What is the difference between Health Insurance and Health care Programs?
Is it OK to have just the health care program and not have the Health Insurance Plan? I can get Health care program for half the monthly premium as compared to the Health Insurance Plan. Please advise? Is it advisable?

- health insurance will pay for medical expenses. health care will get you the treatment.
- No, a health care program is not insurance. It will only give you a slight discount on your health care costs. It is advisable for somebody who has a pre-existing condition (diabetes) who can't get individual health insurance. Health care programs are set up for "it's better than nothing" coverage.
