Mend Your Diet

How can I lose about 10lbs in 2 weeks?

I am 124lbs, 5'3. I have never been overweight and in my early twenties I ate everything and anything and was struggling to get up to 100lbs. Now I've grown a serious midsection which is really uncomfortable. Let me just state right away, I am aware of drastic dieting dangers and I would really appreciate it if the answers didn't include any warnings about those dangers. I know the basic answers like, eat lots of vegetables and exercise, I am not really looking for those either. Something more specific would be highly appreciated, something you've tried before perhaps, or someone you know has and it worked. I also don't like the gym. I swim at times but I can't swim more than 3 times a week, 40 minutes each time. I would like to keep that swimming plan, without intensifying it. But I welcome any suggestions for home exercises. It would be great if you could give me some ideas and snack tips. I know that miso soup usually curbs my appetite. What should I avoid under any circumstances? What little exercises can I do at home? Is there a special diet I can follow to shed the midsection FAST. (I think there is that master cleanser diet, but I work and go to school, I am afraid I'll pass out without any food). If 10lbs is not possible without passing out, what's the maximum? 5 lbs is the minimum for me. Thanks very much in advance! Let me just emphasize some points: * I can only swim 3 times a week, 40 minutes at a time. *I will not change the routine, but home exercise is welcome. *It would probably be best to lose around 7lbs. *My main concern is my OVERRIPE BELLY, it's PRETTY CHUNKY *I don't like vitamins or diet pills. *The master cleanser diet scares me because I don't know if I can work and go to school (from 8am - 9pm I am on my feet) without any food. Would it work? For those who think I am normal weight, my stomach doesn't suit me and I am quite petite, so every inch shows and I feel heavy. Thanks for the kind words though.

  1. Atkins diet...all protein, no carbs.
  2. eat raw vegetables when your hungry and a drink a protein shake
  3. the best thing to do would be to exercise no matter how hard it is. those other weight loss pills and all you can eat diets don't work. also get all you needed nutrients the atkin's diet doesn't give you carbs which you need just not an excess amount. because carbs are energy.
  4. If you dont eat then you will lose weight and then gain it right back when you start eating again. Try an exercise ball for at home. You can buy them for like 10 dollars. Works your abs and core well but can be used for any part of your body.
  5. I believe in liquid diet. Drinks only. whenever you'r hungry just drink anything. But NO(alcohol, sodas, shakes). You can drink anything else, like: tea, hot chocolate, water, seltzer water, fruit drinks that R not filled with more than 24 Grams of sugar. etc.
  6. If your not hypoglycemic, I hear wonders about the apple juice diet. Course you Will gain it back, and your body will lack every nutrition it could need. Food will taste amazing for a week after. Well at your weight you need 2000 cals a day, a pound is 3500 cals. Se essentially the smart way is to, work yourself to death. Skip rope for 3 hours per pound, or walk at 4 mph for 7 or 8 hrs.. Your asking a lot. Remember food intake cuts will only bite you again later. if I were you, I would buy bags of celery, they burn more cals to eat then you take in. Paired with a banana ( 200 cals) a protein drink, so on so on. The more protein the better and some shakes have like a missive 30g for under 100 cals. More protein the more your body works, the higher your metabolism. More exercise the higher the metabolism. now I lost, maybe 4 lbs this week, 12 miles of walking ( I'm a lot heavier then you...) with a 30 lb backpack on, in the cold, and eating 1800-2000 cals a day. that's a deficit of 1500 cals a day for me. Also BK salads with chicken are wonderful, but go easy on if any dressing.
  7. You should eat half of what you normally eat, and you can run every morning because exercise will really help. You can also get an activity that you actually like.
  8. You sound healthy, maybe you just need to get a little toned. Try doing situps when you get up, and situps before you go to sleep at night :)
  9. you're a prefectly normal weight for your age and height. but if you don't want to accept that and try to lose more weight. eat less, exercise more, take stimulants, lots of them, and throw up anything you do eat... ok? seriously, its not easy losing weight, and from what you've said you weigh, you're normal, perfectly normal.. anymore less, then you'll be underweight and even unhealthier
  10. I will omit my usual, "losing that much weight in that time is unhealthy" rant for now. However, you're best bet would be to lower your daily caloric intake and increase your cardio workouts; this should be done first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. You should drink about 100 fluid ounces of water per day (throughout the day, not all at once). Avoid carbohydrates after about 5:30pm - increase the number of meals you eat per day, while maintaining your reduced caloric intake. Avoid prepackaged food and sodium at all costs, this will increase your water retention. Reducing sodium and increasing water consumption will reduce water retention (this sounds counter-intuitive, but it works).
  11. You could try the Master Cleanse. Basically you drink a lemonade made out of lemon juice, maple syrup, and cayanne pepper (it doesn't taste bad, I promise!!) for 10 days and then you're done. I've heard of people dropping 10-15 lbs during the 10 days. http://altmedicine.about.com/b/2008/01/15/the-master-cleanse-what-you-need-to-know.htm
  12. You could lose about 10 lbs in 2 weeks. Dont become anorexic!! Go to the gym in your spare time or:: Here's some weight loss tip's which you can do everyday: - Exercise 6 to 7 days a week. - And try to break your workout into two different sessions, this gives your metabolism a jolt. - Drink 6 to 8 cups of water a day. And try to drink ice cold water, it burns more calories. - Take enough vitamins, especially ones that promote weight loss (such as 1800 mg. of Fish Oil, Vitamin B Complex, Co-enzyme Q-10, ect. Do your research). - Drink green tea or take green tea pills ( it's been shown to speed up your metabolism). - For your metabolism's sake, eat within 1 hour of waking up and don't eat 3 hours before you go to bed. - Try a vegan or vegetarian diet (it worked for me :D). - Drink 12 oz. of warm lemon water (use the juice of 1/2 a lemon) with a little sea salt every morning. This will detoxify your body and make your skin look amazing. - Or, if giving up meat just isn't your thing, just count calories. Try to have around 1200 a day. - Try to avoid white, bleached, or enriched flour. - Stay away from high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated oils. - Eat every 2 to 4 hours to keep your metabolism going. - Eat 5 to 6 small meals a day to keep your metabolism up. - Try to get 6 to 8 hours of sleep. When your body is deprived of sleep your appiteite increases by 15%. - Sugar and artificial sweeteners are the devil. If you have a sweet tooth, grab some fruit. - Avoid all junk food, fast food, and fried food. - Try only drinking water, tea, and black coffee. There are so many hidden calories in drinks. - Eat whole grain foods and healthy fats (like olives, avacados, nuts, ect) and stay away from refined or "bad" carbs.
  13. Run. Eat a healthy diet. Do lunges and squats.
  14. index finger down the old throat helps me out when I need to drop a few
