Lose Weight?

I guess I should have mentioned this in my last question when I said I wanted to lose weight by next football season, I don't play that is just my target time. What is a good way to lose weight? I need to lose a couple pounds by football season.

  1. gain muscle, lift weights and run. the muscle will help you burn fat thus you will have less fat and more muscle which is good for playing football
  2. maintain a healthy diet to work around your caloric needs. portions are your friends!go to http://www.mypyramid.gov/ to find a good eating plan personally for you....don't forget about exercising.
  3. It is important to gain muscle, but know that muscle weighs more than fat so it may appear as if you are gaining weight, but you are really getting fitter. But with this extra muscle, you will burn more fat. Good luck!
  4. You have to come up with some type of a reward system, this will help keep you motivated. One of the best things to do is make a contingency contract. Stating what you want to do, who will help you do it, and what do you get for doing it. Then also try to find a well balance diet program. My friend did this one diet program where the average weight lose is 7 pounds in 9 days. It might be the thing you are looking for, I know it's well balanced. If you want e-mail me and I can tell you more about either of these.
  5. just watch what you eat and run a mile around youre neighborhood everyday i did and lost 5 pounds soon
  6. have you tried proactol? 100% natural, 100% organic, clinically proven and medically backed. you can read more at http://www.proactolreviews.co.uk

  8. I'm one who speaks from experience about dieting and keeping off the lost weight. Please read my blog about the obesity in my family and how I've overcome the battle of the buldge! You can safely and quickly lose 9 pounds every 11 days on this diet plan and keep repeating it until you lose to your goal weight. The computer will write the diet meals/snack menu for you so there's nothing you have to do, but eat what is planned for you. It's healthy, easy and you'll get incredibly fast results! Exercise: strength training 3 days a week and either fast walking, or running the other days. Drink at least 64 ounces of water each day. Remember: calories in minus calories burned = gain or lost weight at the end of each day.
  9. Believe nothing people say about not eating this or that or don't eat after this hour or whatever. If you really want to lose weight, I recommend a better diet, and by diet I mean eating habits, not crash dieting. Visit this site: www.dashforhealth.com. You can enter your information (weight, height, etc.) and they will give you the number of portions that you should eat every day. Also if you click on each food group, it will tell you what it is actually a portion. Try to eat grains made of wheat (make sure they are 100% whole wheat), the ones made with white flour contain too much sugar. If you drink milk, go skim, less calories and less fat (win, win situation) You can eat as many vegetables as you want, you often burn more calories eating them than the calories they have to begin with. Try to not go over the number of portions of fruits though, as some fruits are high in sugar. In addition to that, you should do some cardio. Try going on a treadmill or a walk/jog outside. And do some light weight training at least twice a week (do not do more than that or you can get injured). I'm not telling you not to eat this or that, just telling you to eat healthier. This program has worked wonders for me, I've lost 60 pounds in a year thanks to eating healthier. Good Luck.
